Totally fantastic game from Delphine, made in France, but we won`t hold that against them. Had a drunken conversation with some chums last weekend and we were trying (in vain) to remember the game that Flashback was the sequel to. I remember it was like a really crap cartoon, and there was a bit with a bear (or something) you had to dodge. Any ideas?
Also, does anyone know where I can download a pc version of Flashback? I played the Megadrive (genesis) version when it came out and remember taking it back to the shop because I thought there was a glitch in the game as I couldn`t get off the second screen of the City Level. They used motion capture for the characters and it was years ahead of it`s time. They tried reprogramming a MegaCD version with CGI cut-scenes, and even released a Demo, but I don`t think it was ever released.
Ah, that takes me back...

We will pay the price but we will not count the cost..
I loved this surreal series also, click on the links for download areas:
Another World
Flashback
There was also a third game in the series called Fade To Black on the PC.
Another World and Flashback were both good games, very difficult I seem to remember though. Cruise for a Corpse was another of theirs, have fond memories of that also.

Another World was the first out. You were a scientist who accidentally got transported to `another World`. Flashback wasnt a sequel as such, but it was still amazing!

Wow! :o
Those screens take me back. I loved Another World, it was just... brilliant. Flashback was good also, as was Fade to Black. I had Another World and Flashback on my Amiga 500+... oh, how I miss the days of floppy discs :/
Anyway, I`m off to download a ROM ;)

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, no matter how wrong it is ;-)
When I first saw Another World on the Amiga - that intro, I almost p***ed my pants! That game was pure class.
Yep Flashback was a fantastic game :D
