Page 1 of Nintendo DS - Pictures
Gaming and Consoles Forum
Not yet official but some pictures seem to have been leaked before the official announcement. Should be a bit more powerfull than an N64 and backwards compatible with existing GBA carts. Should find out for real tomorrow.

There should be a bigger picture in the link below. It does look quite interesting if this is the real machine. I look forward to seeing some of the games which will be shown this evening.

Below are some links to articles about the games that are coming on the Nintendo DS.
The Mario Kart game looks more like previous Mario Kart games than Double Dash even through the track shown in the picture is from DD. Metroid Prime: Hunters looks a lot like the Gamecube game from the picture. Looking at the games shown so far it looks like I will be getting it at launch.
Super Mario 64 X4
Mario Kart DS
Animal Crossing DS
Wario Ware DS
Pac `n Roll
Metroid Prime: Hunters
Bomberman DS

I only have one question when it comes to this console: Battery Life. Is it going to conk out after 5 hours solid playing?

Nintendo have stated that the battery life will be around the same as the Game Boy Advance SP which means it should last for about 10 hours.
Apparantlly EB in the US have this listed as $199 and an early November release, I`ve a feeling the PSP is going to be a hell of a lot more expensive and that could sway it for me.

I think that it will be cheaper than the price EB have listed in the US. I am sure that Nintendo have said it will be close to the price of the Game Boy Advance. I would guess that the PSP will be around £250 when it comes out which has been the rumoured price for a while. DS has a battery life of around 10 hours, while PSP has been reported to be as low as 2 hours. I will be getting the DS as soon as it comes out anyway, but I would only get the PSP if the price and battery life are right.
2 hours!!
If thats true the PSP could be the new Lynx
