Page 1 of Gamecube problem WEIRD

I`ve got a US and a Japanese gamecube and for some unknown reason some UK games play in black and white ( crazy taxi, shrek ) whilst some play in colour ( ISS / rugrats ). I have tried different leads and sockets but cant figure out whats wrong. My TV is PAL and NTSC compatible and the freeloader screen comes in colour but when CT & shrek are put in it goes B&W. Any help please ?

I have the same Jap/US gamecube and some games were playing in black and white on my Panasonic TV using RGB.

On my Panasonic TV, if i press AV again on the same channel it changes from black and white to colour.

Maybe you have already tried this, normally i use component cables and have no problems.

I`ve got a Panasonic TV too, still can`t solve it though.

Is the freeloader, the first version that came out?.......there were loads of bugs in it that gave problems playing PAL games.

I am using the AR with freeloader built in, which plays the few PAL games i own, but not perfectly......there are still problems.

I just stick to US games now.

Where did you get those two pictures from? (if you did not make them?) Wonder what else the site have.

Anyway in relation to this topic, I got a gamecube (UK PAL version) if I brought the latest feeloader (which is?) would it play aminal crossing fine? since that is what I am planning on getting for my wife for her birthday in August. And it seem the UK release has been cancel from what I gather last :-(
