I have s video input on my television is this the best way to connect it? I have 5.1 capabilities so is it possible to get 5.1 sound? Up until now I have used my 5.1 set up but only got stereo sound.
Not very techy so all help is appreciated...

The best way to connect up a PS2 is via RGB Scart. You can get true 5.1 sound but only when watching dvds as currently no PS2 games have full 5.1 support. However hooking up the PS2 to a home cinema amp and using the amp`s DSP modes (Pro Logic 2 for example) can greatly improve the sound.

yeah thats what i have been doing. Didnt realise the games were not 5.1 supported. Thanks for the help.

The best connection for a PS2 is component Video, but thats only if your TV supports it

Is`nt GTA3 Vice City DTS enabled? or is it only the USA version?

I used the Digital out (Optical) to hook mine up, than pressing the dolby button on the amp.
