Does anyone know of any good deals that you can get on a GBA SP ? Also what are your top (max five) games for it???
Gonna get one soon for my hols - just wandered if theres any good deals out there? Also, if I get one duty free - will I have to charge it up before I play it or does it come with some juice in the batteries ??

First things first. When you buy it, don`t switch it on until you have fully charged it. By switching it on without a first charge you could greatly reduce the battery life.
Best games: Mario Kart, Tony Hawk`s 3 or 4, Advance Wars, Super Monkey Ball Jr and Street Fighter 3 Alpha :D
Don`t know about any of the deals going at the moment. Try Toys R` Us.

The GBA SP comes fully charged. If yours isn`t then this may indicate its a return, so ask for another one.

Afraid not. It`s a lithium battery so they are always sent out from the factory quite flat, although they do have some life in them. However, they are not fully charged. I bought my GBA SP on the day of release but had read before hand of people complaining their battery life wasn`t as good as being advertised (from people in Japan). This was because they had played it straight out of the box and didn`t have the patience to wait until it had fully charged.
I only say this so that they can get the most out of their GBA SP.

Mine needed charging also. You can play it whilst its charging though.
Chewie listed some top games, I`d also recommend any of the Castlevania games, Golden Sun and Super Mario Advance 2 and 3 (if you`ve not played the originals)
If you`re patient, order your games from dvdboxoffice.com. I got Advance Wars 2 for 22 quid a couple of month ago. Not out here until October I believe.

Forgot to say I have Sega Arcade Gallery aswell. Been playing Out Run for about 3 hours - top class.
Takes me back to when I played it in the arcades!!
