No really its true!!
I played Serious Sam yeserday for about 2 hours and afterwards i had the feeling you get when you have motion sickness not to mention a stink headache!!!
I have a 28 inch tv an dont sit too far from it.
Does anyone else have the same problem? What am i doing wrong??!!

I sometimes feel a bit nausious after playing Timesplitters 2 for a while.

Isn`t this just simply a case of "if I do this it hurts", well don`t do it. :)
Have to admit though that after a few hours of Rachet & Clank I too sometimes develop a headache but this is on a 14" screen, must be the searching for the elusive Gold Bolts that`s doing it me thinks!
3D motion sickness when playing videogames is well documented (I think it has something to do with the, usually fast, framerate of the game and a lack of "proper" freedom of movement)... I remember I puked my ring up a few times playing Doom on my PS1 and Perfect Dark on N64... ahhh happy days.

Thanks people. My girlfriend always laughed at me when I said that I have experienced motion sickness playing video games...it was met with total disbelief on her part.
Still felt a bit of a puff though...it`s a bit girlie, innit!

Timesplitters 2 makes me want to throw up as well - so I don`t play it anymore (load of s***). Its down to bad level design normally.

whats girlie about the natural effect a set of refreshing still images has on the brain?
i remember sittin in front of my portable during college and it was banjaxed with the image rolling all over the place every so often and god i felt unbelievably sick at times... could`ve been the beer though...

X-box made me sick as well... Sick I bought it... Bleedin heavyweight monstrosity of a thing Styled by the same bloke that does Vauxhall cars. Hundreds upon hundreds spent on designer TV`s and peripherals, all in lovely silver, just to have this black monstrosity staring at me as the slimline DVD player`s casing bends under it`s bulk. Try again MS....

Why does the actual presentation of the console mean anything?
Ok, the X-Box isn`t an attractive piece of hardware, but neither is my console of choice (the PS2). The gamecube looks ok, but when you have game controller wires running out of it, it takes any of the "cool" looks away instantly.
If you are going to flame a console, at least be CONSTRUCTIVE.
