Interesting. So, after paying £160 for your console, and then splashing out on the hard drive and internet access kit, and downloading some software, you can then record tv programs on your games console. It seems to me that YOU are giving SONY extra, rather than t`other way round. ;-)

Despite what the article says, i`d be surprised if Microsoft doesn`t do something similar. After all, Xbox would seem to be tailor made for such a task. Although I guess it`s all about marketing aint it?

The hard drive was only gonna be for net downloads and load time saving, now sony say the may do TIVO as well

so it is giving us extra okay jerky!

Right and what console provides a better football Game or 3d fighter?

PS2 = One Console to Rule them all!

Football games are not my thing, so not going to comment on that one.

Better 3D fighter = Soul Calibur, on the dream cast.

However, the biggest problem from a games point of view on the PS2 is the shear number of crap, to the hand full of good games.

The 2nd biggest problem with the PS2 is the number of games that are the same with one or two tweaks to them, a problem that started on the PSone.

and the problem with the cube is it only has 2 games full stop.
and the problem with the xbox is it only has Halo

Just admit to yourself you want a gamecube and an xbox the other fanboys won`t diss you. (actually they probably would)

Gamecube has two games full stop? resident evil, star wars, mario sunshine, pikmin. SMB, Zelda. to name a few good games, granted not all are out yet.

Why would 40,000,000 be wrong? because it came out first. dont get me wrong i have a PS2 also but it aint as good as the cube, about the only thing i play on my ps2 is tony hawks. Find that PS2 games get very boring very quickly
