Yep, really enjoyed that. A couple of unconvincing & slightly weak performances, particularly from the daughter, but it evened out at the end.

I did catch the first movie for the first time in a long time a few days ago, and aside from a few scenes that really haven't aged well, this was a worthy accompaniment, very much moreso than part 3. the helicopter scene could have been more fleshed out as a standout sequence, but as an escape mechanic, it was good enough.

And also worthy of note, the character callbacks weren't as jarring as they could have been, even see-erge

Was good fun, only weak performance to me was Judge Reinhold, thought the daughter was good.

On another note, what is up with the audio? I mean I feel like I know, mixed for TVs with a soundbar and not a cinema, so if you have a good cinema system it sounds overly bassy in some scenes, and no real use of the rears.

Loved it.
Is Eddie in that good nick or was it in the contract they had to de-age him?
I'm a sucker for all the call backs and references as well.

A little bit on the fence about Bobby but he worked out in the end.

Kevin Bacon really good as Mr nasty.
Although not a comedy he put me in mind of Robert Vaughan in Bullitt

I googled his laugh being missing from the original, and discovered that this was his actual laugh back then, and he got rid of it. Part of me is okay with his portrayal being a lot more mature than the original because he's a lot older, but also kind of miss it!

Have to say he looked a bit rough in the movie.
Apart from Beverley Hill Cop I enjoyed him in Midnight Run.

Was it an ongoing condition or sudden?
Didn't notice it mentioned in the Obit.
