Raimi et al are heavily involved in it from what little  I`ve read, I thought the trailer looked pretty cool,

Some scenese look like thet are almost exact copies, but those bit looked cool, almost as if if they had had the time, money, and tech back then, how Raimi would have liked to have done it.

Well the trailer looks like a typical modern horror film trailer, and offers me no hope at all.

But the news Raimi and co are heavily involved, gives me a glimmer. I'll wait and see.

Red band trailer looks a little better, made me cringe in parts. Still looks like a very modern off the shelf horror film in large places though.

Did anyone see this? Was it any good?

I liked it a lot. It gives all due respect to the original while still being its own film. That was the least I wanted but I'm genuinely looking forward to seeing it again. I saw it at the cinema but the BD been gathering dust in the "to watch" pile.

Definately one of the better horrors of the past few years.

I thought it was decent. I think the deliriously bloody finale and the meat slicer scene pushed it from "Meh" to "Ooh!" :)

The talk is they will be making a sequel to this, Army of Darkness 2 and then a coming together one.

Not sure whether this is still in the plans or not (I know they have been a bit more coy about Army of Darkness 2 recently).
