Anything left this year?

Pete-MK (Elite Donator) posted this on Friday, 17th August 2007, 23:43

All the major Blockbusters seem to have reared their heads so far, and it`s only August. I`m looking forward to National treasure 2 early next year, but looking at the Apple trailers, there doesn`t seem to be much coming out leading up to 31-12-07.

Anyone got anything left they consider queueing up for?

Yeah i was thinking the along the same lines so i went and had a look. I reckon these might be worth a viewing. In no particular order:

Grindhouse (If we even get it this year)

Edit - We get Death Proof on 21/09/07 but the Dvd is out in the US on the 18th. Also we get Planet Terror on 9/11/07 but i`m sure a few of us will have already bought the R1 which is released 16/10/07.

The Invasion
Resident Evil Extinction
Doomsday (Neil Marshall, so you can`t really go wrong)
Shoot `Em Up
Halloween
I Am Legend
Flood

I`m sure there are loads more too.

Regards
Bryan

Invasion`s getting royally slated from all corners. But Nicole Kidman wears a very tight outfit throughout the movie, so it might be worth a gander. Resident Evil I`d forgotten about. The trailer looks interesting, but then trailers always do. I`m a fan of Dog Soldiers, but The Cave was utter drivel, so I`d have to bide my time on that one.. I am legend, again, looked interesting from the trailer, but I`m not familiar with the source material. Think I`ll `preview` that one.

And Grindhouse? I`d rather dig out my eyes with rusty farming implements, seriously.

I wasn`t familiar either, but I bought the book after seeing the trailer on here (you can pick it pretty cheaply). The book is short and quite interesting, I doubt the film will follow the storyline that closely though as I don`t believe Studio`s would think it would sell well without changes. I await with interest though.

Go that way, really fast. If something gets in your way, turn...

And those who dance will spin and turn,

And those who talk will hear the words,
And those who see will fade and die,
And those who laugh will surely fall,
And those who know will always feel their backs against the thin wall...

Shoot `Em Up
Eastern Promises (David Cronenberg film so could go either way)
The Kingdom
Death Sentence (suppose to be the follow up to the Death Wish book)
I am Legend
30 Days Of Night
War ,(big fan of Jason Stratham but most of Jet Li`s US films are Rubbish but could have some good scraps in it)
The Brave One (another vigilante film)

Be Kind Rewind looks awesome, as does Superbad. I`m looking forward to getting both Grindhouse`s on DVD (or HD DVD) too, as well as the full Kill Bill film.

For next year we`ve got The Dark Knight and Indy 4 to look forward to, to say the least.

Stantz, Marshall didn`t make The Cave, he made The Descent.
