stargate s.g.1 series 1 helllllllllp....
I have seen several e-bay sellers who have copies of stargate s.g.1 series 1 on d.v.d. they say its (i think) five disks and are asking around £45 for them.
problem is none of the retailers have them so are they genuine or not....

Spidey!
Its leggit alright, DVDBoxoffice have the 5disc version for around £45 ($98) NEW with free delivery! I`d much rather trust them, than an auctioneer, buy.com also have it, but its the US site, and they charge for shipping, hunt around I`m sure you`ll see it in a few more places!
Roll on 10 May 2002, I say!

RE: stargate s.g.1 series 1 helllllllllp....
Hi there bry
Any idea if were going to get season 1 on region 2 or are they going to wait until I buy the R1 release to announce the R2 release.......
my spidey senses are not telling me anything........I should really get that checked.

Pete, no release dates available on the S1, R2 box set.......if it ever comes out, its gonna be a long wait!,
You can already buy the `best` of S1/R2, but its not had great reviews (key episodes missing etc), but you may already know that.
I`d advise you to get the R1 release if you can....it looks fairly good vfm.
On a side note, do you know of any places I can download the new spidey trailer?, I`ve seen it at work and it looks fantastic, I just wanted to cut it onto CD, as the playback on my home internet connection is, v.dissapointing. :(
Cheers,
Bry.

The `best` of S1/R2 contains the Pilot episode and the last 3 episodes of Season 1. MGM released it like this because the last 3 episodes form part of a 4 part story which concludes with the first episode of Season 2 (present on Volume 2)
MGM Worldwide decided not to release the whole of Season 1 in R2 due to major quality issues with the season 1 masters they were supplied with)
