Page 1 of Missing Pitch Black (R2) extra?

I recently purchased Pitch Black (R2) from Play247. On the box it says it has the "Into Pitch Black" feature, but it isn`t on any of the menus.

Has anyone else had this problem, or am I missing something incredibly obvious? :-)

There is a brief featurette listed at the top when you go to the Special Features Menu. I assume this is what they meant. I looked passed it the first time I put the disc on and thought as you did.

Never mind the featurette I bought the R2 copy forgetting the R1 has a dts track, oh well that`s another duplicate on the shelf.

I have Pitch Black R2 and that featurette isn`t what he means.
I have also got a disk with these features missing although they are mentioned on the packaging. Odd.

My friend`s rented the DVD before I purchased it and said that there was an interview with Vin Diesel on it which ran to about 20 mins. The longest feature I can find on my DVD with Vin Deisel in it is around 5 mins. I pointed this out and they said, it was definately more of an interview rather than a short featurette that they saw on the rented copy (Blockbusters).

I am inclinded to believe there are some dodgy pitch black DVD`s floating around out there. Or some crappy packaging.

Anyone else have the R2 copy with a 20 min interview ACTUALLY on it?

Is it on the R1 version?

I purchased the r1 copy of Pitch Black about a month ago and was well imprssed not just with the extra features but with the fact that when you compared the running time of the r1 to the r2 version it is 9 mins longer !!!!
It has to be said always bet on r1 !!!!!!

Cartm3n, are you taking into account the differences in frame rate between PAL and NTSC versions?

Yeah the extra I am looking for is the featurette "Into Pitch Black". It was shown on the Sci Fi channel and gives extra bio info on Vin Diesel`s character in the film. It is billed as a sequel to Pitch Black on the cover of my R2 DVD but is not on the disc... :( Bummer!

Yup, that`s the one. I can`t find it on my disc either. :(

I even did a chapter by chapter / title by title search for it through every single item. It`s just not there!

Apparently the U.S cut has more Dialogue but I think this has been trimmed everywhere else. From what I`ve only seen on R2, the pacing is ok for me without the "extra" talkie bits. If it`s a studio decision then I`m ok with that.

Region 4? Anyone know the differences in running time/extras compared to regions 1 and 2?
