This will be a firmware problem.
I had the same problem with my Grundig player .You need to contact relevant service support and request firmware upgrade disk or check out the goodmans website for assistance

yes i agree that if you know what film you want then costco is the place for bargain dvds region 2!!
You tend to find that their r2 discs are roughly 50-60 p cheaper than even the good old play247.com
And Fecker said , while your there why not pick up a couple of other bargains , says 24 belgian waffles for £2.99 inc vat , or maybe a pair of rebook classics for £32,99 inc vat

I purchased the r1 copy of Pitch Black about a month ago and was well imprssed not just with the extra features but with the fact that when you compared the running time of the r1 to the r2 version it is 9 mins longer !!!!
It has to be said always bet on r1 !!!!!!

I believe i can bypass the RCE protection by manually setting my Grundig Gvd 520 to region 1????
