Region 1 Blackadder

Johnboy (Competent) posted this on Friday, 6th July 2001, 15:50

Has anyone bought any of the region 1 Blackadders yet and if so can you confirm what extras are actually on the disk??
Just that I want to get them but descriptions on DVD retail sites seem a bit vague and I kinda wanted something concrete before I buy them and then find out that the BBC are gonna re-release them over here as a special edition or something stupid like that.
(To rip off the license payer further)

Cheers chaps.

If you look at the R1 disks that are available now at:

http://www.play247.com - they`ve updated the contents of extras on all of the Blackadder series DVDs.

DVD BoX Office in canada are advertising a 5 Disc Box Set.
Approx. £62-00.

Not sure what the extra`s are!
It seems strange that it is out "over there" before the country of origin!
(unless you know differently)

Am I the only one who thinks DTS on Blackadder is nothing more than a marketing gimmic?

I have bought Blackadder Goes Forth Region 1, and yes the extras are definately there. The main extra on this disk is an Interview with Richard Curtis which is about 25mins long.

Nice one, cheers. Might have to go ahead and order me the R1 discs then.
Incidentally, I don`t know if anyone else has e-mailed BBC worldwide complaining about this, but I`ve mailed them twice and had no response.
Anyone else had any sort of joy with an explanation from the BBC???

Robert, Black Adder Back and Forth was made in DD and DTS so as the DTS is available it`s good to see that the UK version will get it.
