floyd_dylan (Elite) posted this on Monday, 22nd March 2004, 16:07

Well this month I got

Raging Bull (R2)

Batman The movie (R2) (the Adam West one)

The Great Escape (R2)

Alien Quadrilogy (R1) (after not getting it for Christmas, Valentines day and Birthday thought bugger it)

Running Man Special Edition (R1) really fun cool Arnie film.

The Shining (R1)

Full Metal Jacket (R1)

Predator 2 (R1)

Bullett (R2)

The Getaway (R2)

Dog Day Afternoon (R2)

Badlands (R2)

X Men 2 (2 disc edition)

Then my girlfriend has pre-prdered Simpsons Season 2 and 3 from Play.com for me which is really cool.

I know coming soon, there is a 2 disc edition of Dune, but in Europe there`s a 3 disc dvd edition of the film, as well as Flash Gordon special edition, can anyone tell me where I can get hold of them?

Well I did buy a house last week (honestly) so I`m afraid the weekly ritual of dvd buying will be curbed for a little while. Having said that, I see my copy of Matrix Revolutions has just shipped from Movietyme... excellent. ;-)

I went for:

Matchstick Men (R2)
Wrong Turn (R2)
Fifth Element (R2)
Office Space (R2)
Small Faces (R2) - still haven`t got round to watching this...
Evil Dead 2 (R2)
The Wicker Man (R2) - I hadn`t seen this but bought it on the strength of what people on here said and I am so p***ed off....but only `cause I`ve left it so damn long to get round to seeing it!! I think it is superb.
Once Upon a Time in Mexico (for a mates Birthday!)
Dreamcatcher (again, for the mates Birthday!)
Freddy v Jason (R2)

Phew!!

.....err, actually, that`s nowhere near enough!! MUST BUY MORE!! :-) :-)

Very quiet for me as well. Just:

Once Upon A Time in Mexico
Buffalo Soldiers

Bought lots of films at the end of February, such as all the Pixar films, School of Rock and others I can`t remember ;)

Eagerly awaiting (in order) Bottle Rocket, Master & Commander and Matrix Revolutions though, all arriving at roughly the same time. I saw Revolutions twice in the cinema, and it left me cold the second time. But I absolutely loved the Super Brawl with Smith and Neo. And you can`t have the first two and not complete the trilogy ;)

Ben, is Ping Pong any good? I`ve heard good things about it, but haven`t even seen a trailer.
