I would definitely recommend Alias. The first season was great, but the second was simply perfect. Sadly, it was cut to ribbons over here on the telly.

It has some great star cameos too, like Quentin Tarantino, Faye Dunaway and Christian Slater. Hell, even Rutger Hauer is good in it.

Alias is great.... don`t know how Ricky Gervais will fit in though...

I wouldn`t say either one is better than the other - both are equally very rewatchable and very reasonable in terms of cost (in relation to buffy etc...).

And ricky will rock in alias, just like QT and Roger Moore!

When is Ricky Gervais going to be in it?

I know Tarantino will be back in the next episode (along with Vivica Fox).... should be quite good.

I read somewhere (possibly in the Alias magazine) that Gervais was going to be filming a part in the near future and since he`s been in the states developing the office for US networks, it doesn`t seem too strange, i just can`t see him (yet) in a straight role....

If Tarantino comes back, that`s great, i loved the double episode with him in.... I`m stuck at the end of season 2, wont get to see 3 until the DVD comes out or, god forbid, Channel 5 ever shows it.

Channel 5 great for people like me who record alias anyway! One time I had no adverts on one of channel 5`s late showings(and its usually not trimmed/cut). I think Sky One has not brought Alias S3 - so Channel 5 might launch straight into S3. I can`t wait for the S2 DVD to come out R2! I`m predicting a release in April.

The best aspect of its relative unpopularity(here anyway) is that I got season 1 for £40 and that was one of the more expensive prices. Something like futurama costs the same(S4 did anyway) and has at least half the content.

SPOILER:
Just watched the new episode with Tarantino.... a bit disappointing as he`s only in the last 5 minutes (super-cool as always, tho). It looks like he`ll be back again, too. Did anyone else see this yet?

On the Ricky Gervais note, he`s in episode 15 of season 3 playing bomb expert Daniel Ryan, for those who are interested.
