Page 1 of Odd reviews

I always try to read all the reviews that appear on this fine site, just in case one crops up and appears to be a good DVD. I have led myself to believe this is the sole purpose of reviews! Anyway, I parrticularly enjoy the visitor reviews, except, and many will remember this, the reviews of one Black Chuck esq. but that is another thread entirely....I just noticed a review come up on some Ronan Keating DVD. Now, I`m neither a pop or Ronan fan so I`m biased towards giving lower scores for this DVD. But I had never seen such funny, biased reviews! 10 across the board for all 4 reviews! I have the sneaking suspicion that they may have all been Ronan Keating fans, particularly some of the names. Infact, is it possible they are all the same people? Have you ever seen them together at the same time? Still, it was funy to read and brightened up the hour, so I thank you Ronan fans, and goodnight. Remember to have a gander at my reviews!

Would you seriously buy a music DVD from an artist you didn`t like though? :)

If you look at their profiles they all only have one review. Guess what that is. They`re probably some studio plant, trying to get people to buy their DVD.

Robert, obviously I would have had no intention of buying the DVD, but I just read this one as I felt it would have some comedy value. Boy was I right

Richard, I know it could be possible for them to be studio plants, but if it is, it worries me and they really need to sack their PR. Also, it is clear that the people who have written this, at a guess sound like teenage girls, and if it was a studio plant, why promote it here, where I am also guessing the average reader is not a teenage girl.

Just been reading the reviews in question and I reckon they`re just RK fans, bless `em. PR company moles would have all joined on the same day - four days ago, rather than six months ago.

Great "Singin` In The Rain" review, by the way. Keep `em coming.

I am a big fan of black_chuck`s work and enjoy reading his reviews. They help me develop an understanding of the movie and influence me in my decisions on whether to buy a disc or not. I dont understand why this guy hasnt written any new reviews. I just cant get enough of them and wish he would write more reviews. Perhaps we should email him.

we miss you good sir, is that not clear to all? please, come back into our world of DVD with your beautiful grammar and way with words. how could we possibly live without your wonderfully indepth synopsis` of film. I can`t remember a day go by when I don`t think, just to read one of his reviews just once more, just to see that most eloquent of words of his beautiful language. Boaring.

Seriously. I didn`t want to make this a thread lambasting the long since into the ether black_chuck but god damn it dicanio you made it so. I remember on my previous thread about the subject that someone suggested maybe he was being ironic, but I just assumed that they also had to be funny. Maybe it`s just me.

looking through the thread on him i just found, it appears it was just me. I amazed anyone still replies to my posts, cos i should really have come out of that with some enemies! To clear it up, I feel black_chuck was just someones sense of humour that got a little under my skin, cos I just didn`t like the sense of humour. I apologise. Just don`t post anymore of those goddamn reviews if it was a joke!

i think he cant sing properly in tune why would anyone want to watch him on a dvd
