Toy Story and Toy Story 2 to go OOP

Disney will stop manufacture from May 1st. Existing supplies will be sold thru and if you haven`t had it by then, supplies will start to dry up. This applies to R1, but I`m guessing it`s the same deal with all regions.

Not necessarily. It`s just something that Disney does, ala Snow White and numerous other titles.

With suggestions that Pixar and Disney are parting ways because its bad for a successful company like Pixar to be associated with a bunch of corporate playsafer losers like Disney it might be possible that they`re taking back control of the Toy Story films as they`ve been available for too long to be one of Disneys "On sale for a limited time" classics releases.

For some reason, Disney ALWAYS deletes it`s releases after a period of release. (I think it`s about 18 months, I may be wrong) Then they ALWAYS re-release them in a special edition 10 years later, hence the recent releases of pinocchio and sleeping beauty special editions.

it`s seven years, not ten. The copyright on all the Pixar/Disney movies is shared, so Disney will keep control of distribution.

Disney are well known to be abunch of gits, look at their self-imposed unnesasary censorship!

check this link for more info - Disney actually only release titles for a very short time and then put them into what they call Moratorium for about 7 - 10 years.
