Page 1 of Spider-man Boxset From Play !!Customs Warning!!

Just to let people know.I work for Royal Mail as we are now known again and i spotted a parcel from Play.Com today that had been customs charged.
The parcel was of Spider-man boxset at the cost of £28.99.
There had been a charge of £8.54 put onto it.So if you have ordered 1,beware.

Thanks Very much ` gearbox` Could you please tell us what the limit is before Royal mail will put a charge on, i thought it was about 36gbp??

i bought the limited edition boxset from play yesterday.
does this mean when it arrives at the door i will have to pay the £9
or whatever it is!!

They do warn you when you order anything over 18 quid that you might get charged extra by customs.When i tried to order Back to the Future R1 boxset they told me then, so i ordered from Movietyme instead. They don`t charge you there cos they repack them in the UK and also i got Spider-man boxset from Future Ent and they do the same.

Any update on customs charges for this as my finger is getting itchy to click "order" on lord of the rings collector`s edition :o)

hey gear box how did u know it was a spiderman boxset, surely it should be packaged? it was probably mine which aint been delivered yet!!

same here.still waiting from last monday,but already recieved episode 2 which was ordered 4 days after.

geeting p***ed off now.no delivery of my spidee boxset,where
is it at! and how did someone at royal mail know what it was when it should be packaged!!!......

i was thinking exactly the same thing.how would somebody know what was in the parcel unless it had been tampered with.
as far as i am aware play do not put the titles of the contents on the packaging so the only other way of knowing is that it has been opened.
very strange indeed.
be interesting to know what branch of the royal mail this was?????

i thoght play .com was based ith u.k (jersey)so customs should not be touching these items at all.
if i sent a parcel from london to redcar you would not expect customs to have a look to see if they could STEAL A FEE for the privalige
