Shaolin Soccer

One of the most fun films this year. Imagine The Matrix crossed with the world cup, and added comedy. Chinese, region 3 and dirt cheap from dddhouse.com.

I`ve heard `so` much about this film yet i`ve never had the urge to go out and buy it...

I hated crouching tiger... will i like this just because i loved the matrix?

It`s a great film and for £6 (dddhouse) well worth giving it a go, you have nothing much to lose but a lot to gain!!

I wasn`t sure about getting it but ended up ordering it and Battle Royale from coolashop.com (which worked out cheaper by about £1 I think).

Both films were good, although Battle Royale was probably the better overall.

But overall, for £6 you can`t go wrong, it`s enjoyable and fun. Not the best film in the world by any stretch of the imagination but neither is it bad.

I`m new to these boards. Please do forgive me for not having heard of this film earlier.

Don`t worry about it, I only heard of it recently and I`ve been reading these boards for a while now. Saw a trailer, very funny.

I`ve been screaming about this gem of a movie for the last 6 months now - get a few mates around, a few beers/J`s, crank up that DTS soundtrack, turn on the horrendous subtitles, then sit back and enjoy one of the funniest kickass movies to come out of HK in the last 10 years. Stephen Chow is an absolute genuis... btw, he`s also working on a sequel to this and God of Cookery.
