I have a Lydl flyer today but it has no mention of a computer for tomorrow.
There is a Philips CD Rewriter 24 times burn for £59-98 & an Optical mouse for £9.99, & also a Thphoon 5.1 Active Surround system at £29.99 yes £29.99. Is the computer next week perhaps.

I had originally got the very lidl flyer ( last thursday) you are talking about with those items on it but this is a new one. The new flyer still has the CDRW, the speaker system and the mouse on it along with the PC, a 19` monitor and a lexmark Z33 printer.

The flyer states, at the top "Available from 6th June"

Maybe it`s only here, in central Scotland, that the deal is available. I noticed on Lidl`s site that this PC was a "Regional Offer"

Is the 5.1 Active Surround System they have suitable for DVD players?

My DVD player has a 5.1 sound decoder built in so some cheap speakers would do very nicely if they had all the right phono (RCA) cable connector bits.

This is the full spec according to the flyer -

Includes 5 x 50watt (PMPO) satellites and 1x 300watt (PMPO) subwoofer with integrated amplifier"

Hmm, those speakers sound a bit crap to me. PC looks good mind... Fancy buying a load then flogging them on ebay?

Typhoon Speakers

I would strongly recommend avoiding this speaker system as quite honestly they are garbage. The sound quality is atrocious, the sub-woofer sounds like an angry vibrator ,so the wife says :-) , I am still considering whether to take them back or use them on my PC and at the moment the odds are heavily stacked in favour of taking them back.

You could always get cex.co.uk to take them off your hands.
I see that generic 5.1 speaker setup`s they`ll pay £55 for.
(Plus they will collect them from you for free!)
