Stargate is online at www.woolworths.co.uk for £7.99. I checked the release date and it`s the re-released version.

Some other good cheapos there too, like Heat for £6.99

Is this the directors cut ?

They call it the Special Edition which was only released in the US. The cover and release date on the web and the original price of £18.99 all point to this being the UK Directors Cut.
I`ve ordered anyway so I`ll post a message once I receive it.

I had a look and I`m pretty sure this isn`t the new version. The new version has "Directors cut" written underneath the title.

this is the directors cut, cause i received mine 2 weeks ago, but theres nothing special about the disc.

Just an update. I received my copy of Stargate this morning and it is the Director`s Cut, complete with DTS soundtrack etc.
I`m well chuffed with the price.

Just got 3 copies of this Director`s Cut today. But notice that two of them maybe second or return goods! because they are not sealed and found minor scratches at the back of the Disc! But the other one is brand new. I just made a complaint and will send it back for replacment.

I got my copy of Stargate this morning. It also wasn`t sealed. I initially didn`t notice any scratches, but after reading the above post I checked it again and it has a couple of scratches but very minor. The disc had come loose from the disc holder in the case. It was rattling about inside it. This could easily have caused the scratches.

Hmmm, well mine was sealed and in perfect condition. I would send the usealed copies back as you are buying new goods, not second hand.
