I bougth them for about 5-6 months ago but don`t have much time to enjoy it . Both are in MINT condition, with original box, manual, remote(TV) and original receipt, RRP for more than 1100, want to do business for 750. NGO

Blackstar, send DVD without its original cover.

I just received Armageddon 2 Disc from blackstar this morning but was very disappointed. The dvd comes with out the cover (The black paper cover). Well I know, it`s an sale item but how can they sent a dvd without the original cover to customer?

How to connect dvd with component output to TV with scart socket?

I`m currently using Toshiba SD9000 dvd player with Sony KV28FX65. The player doesn`t have scart output so I have to connect it with S-Video cable. The picture quality is acceptable but I guess I need to hook them up via component (YUV) output to get the best from my dvd. Somehow, my TV doesn`t have component input..

I tried to use it with QED SQART AV19 which stated on the website that
"For use where RGB + Sync component video and Stereo audio signals need to be transmitted from a Scart equipped AV source to and RCA phono-equipped high end TV or video projector.This cable is directional"
It`s a 24pin scart on one side and 6 phono (Red, Green, Blue, Sync, Audio L, Audio R) but there was no picture, nor sound.

Then QED have launched the new serie SQART AV29 which is described
"For use where an RGB or YUV component video and stereo audio signals need to be transmitted to a Scart equipped TV. This cable is suitable for both component video formats. When using a YUV source ensure the TV has a YUV compatible Scart input."

So, I have a few questions that

1 Is YUV compatible Scart input the same as RGB scart input?
2 What the Sycn? I don`t have a clue with this one.
3 Will the AV29 work on my tv, is there an alternative.

I think so. Just bought it last week with BOGOF promotion, T2+Almost Famous 2 Disc Special Edition DTS.
Real bargain! I guess this SE is exclusively to HMV, never found DTS version on any website (R2).

I just searched on French website (www.amazon.fr) for Sleepy Hollow DTS version and found that there`s a few titles available on Superbit Version such as; Gattaca, Fifth Element, Godzilla, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.

- Is it far better from original R2 disc? and compare to R1 Superbit
- When will Superbit UK available?
- Is there any French website that has English lan .?

I have both R2 and R4 version of Armageddon, in my opinion..
The package of R2 version is far better than R4, picture quality is slightly sharper and brighter.
For 2 quid more, I would go for R2 version.

Just checked HMV, and found that Armageddon is not included in buy 2 for 20 section as described on their first page.

Just got 3 copies of this Director`s Cut today. But notice that two of them maybe second or return goods! because they are not sealed and found minor scratches at the back of the Disc! But the other one is brand new. I just made a complaint and will send it back for replacment.
