Just a quick one,

Tesco are knocking the box set out @ £24.99, But if you have a club card you get 224 points which equates to a £2.24 saving, No doubt someone has found it cheaper but Its worth a mention.

Most big chains seem to be selling it at £24.99. Personally I went to WHSmiths and using their buy one get one half price bought the boxset plus The Simpsons Season 1 for a total of £42.49 plus got my clubcard points.
(By my calculations if you were happy to buy superman at £25 then Simpsons R2 works out even cheaper than Simpsons R1 even at Play 24/7).

hello. order it from dvdcrave.com and enter the voucher code newstore.10%*
and u will get 10% off on top of the 9% cos we dont pay GST so thats 19% off already dirt cheap prices.
Fair enough its not a box set but i can order them both. Plus its aus so they dont have crappy WB cases. Comes to £20.56 inc postage. Much better cases. Add your region 1 simpsons to that and you get £38.55 But i suppose if u dont wanna wait then what tribey done is a good idea even though u lose a fiver.

Question,

Why do I see so many people bitchin about a poxy case. @ the end of the day its the film you watch not the box. Isnt a Clipper case good enough for storage or am I missing something?

Just wondering :)

Dusty - snapper cases - I got my first recently - they are a bit ungainly, and I can see the cardboard getting mangled after a while (especially as it`s a kid`s film!) - so I for one would prefer not to have them.

While I`ve got your attention...
RE a post you did ages ago in the hardware forum - you seem to have been out of contact for a while. "Hitchins in Shropshire" you mentioned as a source of end of line hardware - is this now the Littlewoods Discount Stores as suggested by others when I posted asking about it? Only I couldn`t find a LDS in Shropshire...

Thanks - sorry about the cross post!

Richard

Umm, is it just me or arent they supposed to have pulled superman II due to the prominence of two particular buildings on the front cover?

As for the Hitchins store in Shropshire, As far as I know it isnt a Littlewoods Discount Store, Its an Independent, I think!

If I can find the Forum Header Ill post a reply there.

They pulled the individual Superman II, not the box set. The artwork features the Manhattan skyline (which of course includes the WTC towers) in the background. You can see it here:

Seems a gross over-reaction if you ask me. Still, that`s Warners for you.

Maybe its just me.
