I have The Bug by Pure and was impressed by the spec on the BT Aviator wondering if I would have been better off with the BT one...but just read a few reviews here :

CNet

So I can sleep easy now with my Bug!

The Bt Aviator is "ex display" :/
We have Intempo model bought from John Lewis, cannot believe the difference in quality on DAB (we had bad signal on AM/FM for Talk Sport), not anymore, DAB is class!

I just read the Cnet review, which didn`t rate the Aviator too highly, but I wonder how much they really tested it when they state that you can record radio onto the SD card (which you can`t). They also made no mention at all about its ability to play MP3s - the real function of the SD slot. See below from BT shop website.

BT Response: Many thanks for your query. We have asked the product manager for his feedback and have the following answers for you: "Two questions in one here...
1. Can you record onto an SD card - No, the memory card slot is for playback only. The 10min memory is for internal storage only to "listen again" to anything you may have missed.
2. Can the record function be set up by timer - No, the function is constantly recording the last 10mins of listened to radio only. The ability to record by date/time is being tested by manufacturers at the moment and is expected to be launched and available in products later this year. BT will of course be evaluating this EPG (Electronic Program Guide) for the next Aviator model. Thanks for your feedback.

Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

You can find any number of reviews that are against or for the product. Personally It does me fine, and I find it for more astetically pleasing on the eye than many of the DAB radio`s out there (why do they mke them look like something out of the 1950`s ? Bug excepted).
