They`re both older CRT based RP Tv`s. Much older technology compared to the newer HiDef DLP RP`s which have come onto the market.

They have low refresh rates, the picture quality is `poor` compared to todays Plasmas & LCDs, DLPs. The viewing angle isn`t great and you`ll have to sit quite far away from it to get the best image out of it. It not future proof at all with no DVI, HDMI etc. Take a DVD into curry`s and see the difference for yourself.

Really to be honest it`s old stock which no one wants anymore and not many people wanted in the first place.

The only good thing about it is that it`s a `big screen`. If you`re just after a big screen for low money and that`s all that matters then these are for you.

I was looking for ages at all the different TV`s recently. The main problem with the projection tellies I would say is the bulbs/guns that they use for each colour. If these go they are expensive and if they go out of line u might need an engineer out.I didn`t want to have to worry about this every time I turned the thing on.
After months of deciding I eventually went for the Toshiba 32ZT29B which I got for £599.This was £1500 a year back and got top marks. It has a built in Dolby system, digital tuner,Progressive scan etc.

I have got a sony 44" rar projection and its just as good as a tube from every angle and 100hz, people seem to be obsessed with this sort of thing, like speaker wire for £20 a metre, the human ear could n`t possibly tell the difference but still people buy it instead of £2 a metre wire, crazy

Well said cricky12 ! I have a 42" RP Tosh (One of the ones that nobody wants ???), which I have had since they hit the shops about 4 years ago. Had no probs what so ever with bulbs failing, or coming out of line etc etc. Yes, technology does move fast and no sooner have you bought the most up to date, all singing, all dancing product, it is replaced by the next model.
Lets put things into perspective here guys ... I recently went into local Currys and wasnt that impressed with what I saw. My tv was just as clear (picture and sound). And yes, they did have a DVD playing at the time !
If you want a Rear Proj TV and dont mind a "square" Tv as opposed to a wide sceen TV then these two are bargains. Good picture quality (to the human eye) and good sound quality (to the human ear).
Go for it !!!!!

My point to the OP is this, for a few hundred more you can get a 37" 16:9 Plasma which would blow any RP out the water.
