RE: STONKING Orange contract bargains: Samsung D500 now only £60 over min term (UPDATE)

Yeah, just done it today. Porting over to three in next 8 days or so.I think the 30 days start from the day your old number is ported.
to your new sim.

RE: Best Deal on Mobile Contract?

Just got the new Nokia 6280 on 3. Saw an advert with directphoneshop for the talk and text 700 price plan at half price line rental for 12 mths on a 12 mth contract.

400 xnet mins p/m
250 txts p/m
£17.50 p/m (via cash backs at 4,8,12 mths.)

think you get something like 40 mins video calling as well.

Anyway, not dealt with them before so thought I`d get E2Save to price match and they did !

Unfortunately the phone arrived this morning and is a dud ! There coming out this week to replace.

RE: SKY + (Existing customers)

Roger, Dont think I have paid to much ... as far as I am aware, the £49.99 deal will only be given to "new" sky customers. (Unless I have missed something on this thread, I cant find anyone that has had a £49.99 box without multi room or sky+ subscription).

Correct me (as I am sure yo will) if I am wrong.

ps . The engineer didn`t take the old box away (not that I have any use for it due to not having multi room or a second sky card).

RE: SKY + (Existing customers)

Like I say, if you are an existing Sky customer and you are outside your initial contract (usually 12 months), you can ring the cancellations dept (tel number given on original post) and threaten to cancel. They should offer you a brand new Sky+ box for £65. The only thing they ask is that you subscribe to one or more premium channel (I took out Sky movies package, but you can have a mix of sports and movies), for 12 months.
This entitles you to free subscription to Sky+ (and no multi room - Just tell them you dont want the multi room as you only have one television!)

In a nutshell :

1. Been a sky customer for 12 months = Yes
2 .Have 1 or more premium channels = Yes

Sky will give you a new sky+ box for £65 without the multi room subscription.

Can`t explain it clearer than that .

RE: STONKING Orange contract bargains: Samsung D500 now only £60 over min term (UPDATE)

Sent my 6th bill in when I received it earlier this month. Received a text from E2save about 1 week later confirming that they had received my bill and they were processing my claim (would take up to 30 days). Just received another text yesterday saying :
"We are delighted to inform you that your cheque back application for this phone number has been successful. Please allow 14 days for receipt of your cheque".

RE: SKY + (Existing customers)

I`ve never tried it but did read somewhere a host of people that have and been refused any "new customer" deals because they are not really "new customers".

Lots of info on link below:

RE: SKY + (Existing customers)

Many apologies folks !!! The title of my thread was misleading. What I meant was I am an exsisting sky customer (Not sky+ customer !) and I wanted to upgrade to having SKY+ (without having to pay for installation, £10 subscription, and mutiroom which I have no need for. I was only on the £22 family package and so to get SKY+ for £65 I had to take a premium channel with the family package. This bumps it up to £34 (but I would have had to pay £10 p/m SKY+ subscription), so it equals out.

Hope this makes more sense !

ps : No you can`t cancel and reconnect for the £49 due to the fact that SKY have all your details on record (name, address tel no etc etc .) If you try and reconnect in a different name, they know its the same address. The only way you can do it is to move house (This may be a bit extreme for some of you ?).

SKY + (Existing customers)

I know that this has been covered in previous threads, but thought I would let everybody
know that the £65 deal for existing customers is still on !

conversation went something like this :

phoned 08705488485 (cancellations)

ME - "Hello, I would like to cancel my sky please"

SKY - "Ok sir, and is there any reason for this ?"

ME - "Well .... I rang last week and asked if I could upgrade to SKY+ but the lady said it would cost me £200 ? I cant afford that and a few people I know said they got it for £65 ? (I didnt really ;) )

SKY - "Obviously sir we do not want to lose your custom so I will put you on hold for a few minutes and speak to my superviser to see what offers are on at the moment".

ME (Thinking she will come back with the Multiroom subscription offer at £10 per month extra)

SKY - "Hello sir. I can do you the £65 one off payment for SKY +. The engineer will take your old box away though. Is that o.k ?

ME - "I supppose so" ;)

I then had to agree to take the Movies or Sports (I only had the family package at £22 p/m), which bumps it up t £34 p/m, but with no SKY+ subscription.

Easy !!!! (Oh and rang the engineers dept to ask what type of box it would be - he said there pretty much only doing PVR3 (Pace) boxes now and I was down for one anyway)

Installation Monday !!!!!!!!!

RE: Winning Eleven 6 on Gamecube.

Thanx for that Mark. Have heard a lot about FIFA 06 (the improvements etc etc). Will keep watching for a cheap copy of Winning eleven on Ebay and in the mean time, will pick up a copy of FIFA 06 (I can always sell it on Ebay as they to are going for nearly as much as a new copy ???!!!)

Winning Eleven 6 on Gamecube.

Been after this for a while but can`t find it anywhere ! Does anyone know where I might get it ? (Apart from PlayAsia (sold out) and E bay (selling for £25 - £30))

Believe this is the best Cube footy game out there ?

RE: 30" lcd tv hidef compatible 3 year warrant £599

RE: Bargain 30" LCD - Woolworths.

All I can say guys is that the picture looked pretty sharp when I popped into Woolies in Blackpool the other day ... as good as any on display in comet/curries etc ... They had Robots DVD playing and it was crystal ....

RE: Game recommendations for DS ???

Cheers for that Snookums ! Looks like a fun game ... Will definitely go for that .

Bargain 30" LCD - Woolworths.

RE: Game recommendations for DS ???

Game recommendations for DS ???

Bought my daughter a DS at launch and I apologise if this has already been covered, but can anyone recommend any decent games ? I can`t find any !!!!!

Many thanx in advance ......

RE: PayPal 10% Discount Code *UPDATED* New codes!

Any new codes yet guys and gals ???

RE: 43

Well said cricky12 ! I have a 42" RP Tosh (One of the ones that nobody wants ???), which I have had since they hit the shops about 4 years ago. Had no probs what so ever with bulbs failing, or coming out of line etc etc. Yes, technology does move fast and no sooner have you bought the most up to date, all singing, all dancing product, it is replaced by the next model.
Lets put things into perspective here guys ... I recently went into local Currys and wasnt that impressed with what I saw. My tv was just as clear (picture and sound). And yes, they did have a DVD playing at the time !
If you want a Rear Proj TV and dont mind a "square" Tv as opposed to a wide sceen TV then these two are bargains. Good picture quality (to the human eye) and good sound quality (to the human ear).
Go for it !!!!!

HELP Needed with new Samsung D500.

Just got my new D500 via the bargains forum. Bought a bluetooth dongle but cannot seem to get any vids from my laptop to phone. No probs with music and tones but each time I attempt to transfer video, it either gives the message : "Cannot complete the bluetooth file transfer wizard" on laptop. Sometimes the file "sends" to phone but then the phone has message : "Does not support the file format".
On each occasion the laptop and phone connect (So I know that they are paired).

Please help !!!!

Bargain Portable DVD Players ????

Looking to buy a portable DVD Player mainly to keep the kids happy on long journeys etc...
Found these 2 having spent hours on tinternet ....

http://shop.incardvd.uk.com/acatalog/copy_of_NEW_CENTURION_DVD_SYSTEM_ONLY__199_99____.html#a32

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00067T878?tag=myrev09-21 affiliate link removed by moderator

The main differences are the Philips apart from being a better make is only 7" screen where as the Centurion has 8". The Philips is completely portable (ie. Is also battery powered which lasts 3 hours). Centurion has NO battery and can only be powered by mains or car which is probably how I would use any Portable DVD player.
The Centurion has 2 x sets of headphones and looks as though it is set up especially for car use. Not to sure of quality though ???
Please help !!!

RE: Cheapest IRiver ihp 120 (20 gig) ?

:) The goods were delivered this morning .... Haven`t figured it all out yet, but looks pretty impressive. Zapped a few songs from my laptop onto it and the sound is terrific ! (Mind you, I have been listening to a Matsui walkman for the past ten years !!!!)

Cons : - Can`t zap your music straight from Windows Media Player (ie Playlists etc ).
- The instructions for recording music straight from your Hi Fi are non existant.
( I have a TEAC Hi Fi which doesnt seem to have any sockets which will support the cable that you get with the iriver.)

Pros : - remote control is very handy with most functions on it
- Sound quality excellent
- easy navigation

Not had much of a play with it as only had it a few hours, but I`m sure these "Cons" can be ironed out with the help of iriver firmwear and a better line in/out cable for Hi Fi.

RE: Cheapest IRiver ihp 120 (20 gig) ?

It is, but they have said they will have stock in the next few days. 40 gb ihp seems a good deal as well ?
Ordered the ihp 20 gb. From what I have read on other posts, this company appears reputable. will wait and see ...........
