easy there mate - i think most people would assume that a closing down sale would take place a month or so before closure, so its was fair to think that these 10% prices would be the end thing. But thanks for the advice on a personal visit - i`ll have to get off my `but` and go see :-).

I was in an Index store last week,& the assistant said,basically,everything must go.
Initially it`s 10% discount(although I think the jewellery may be 20% already),but the discounts will increase as it gets closer to D day,so the last 2 weeks could be very interesting for us bargain hunters.

how come i got the email last week about closing down, yet everything we wanted to buy was SOLD OUT on the website!!

even a bed which comes direct from the manufacturer was sold out!?!?!

my guess is the only stuff to go will be in store! Everything in warehouse will be probably be retagged with Argos codes?

So far not too excited on prices. Looked through catalogue (instore) and found that a few items were cheaper in Woolies and Argos and that`s without the 10% or 20% discount.

Mind you I did buy a couple of basic fold up scooters for the kids reduced from £9.99 to £7.99 each.
