in the papers britannia advertise 4 dvds for £17.99 but on the site http://www.britdvd.co.uk its 5 for £13.99
plus i was able to choose box sets and two disc set
scream trilogy rrp=45
jurasic park/lost world set rrp=30
snatch rrp=25
terminator se rrp=25
independance day rrp=25
i specifically chose those sets to take full advantage of the offer that over £150 of dvds. At first they were reluctant to give but after a bit of complaining i got all cept terminator which i will get once it comes out. All i have to do now is buy 6 dvds within 2 year which due to their prices will cost me about 120 so for 133 im getting 14 dvds including many 2 disc sets and SE`s

Yeah, i thought it was a good deal as well, but i was reluctant to join as i know that they sent you no-end of stuff that you don`t want and you have to sent it back within 5 days or they`ll charge you for them!! Anyways, let us know how ya get on as it seems a real bargain.

Britannia is a right pain in the arse!

O.K., you got a great deal at first, but that`s how they suck you in. They send you a `recommended recordings` slip and if you don`t send it back, they send you the film. You then have to pay the p & p to send the bloody thing back to them. All DVDs are overpriced, especially when you add the p & p on top of that.

I find myself having to order 3 more films, which I don`t actually want, just so I can end my membership.

Trust me, you`re better of out of it, mate!

You can cancel recommended recordings online. i am also a cd member and this is how i did my stuff. im a computing student and therefore use the net everyday. only takes two mins and i can do it at the same time i check my email. they do not send recommended recordings every week so i check my account at least once a week to make sure none slip through. its actually not bad. their prices are a bit inflated but not more so than normal high street stores and you do get up to 40% off your next each time you buy one and you also get to take part in exclusive sales and special offers once in a while. Oh damn now im just plain advertising them arent i sorry.

The link you posted takes you to four dvd`s for £15.99, not 5 for £13.99.

I haven`t used them, but I think (reading from various posters), they do alter their pricing policy around. Quite a load of people seem to be doing similar. The guy that sold me the Scream Trilogy got all his choices as the boxset, he sold half of them off at £25 and the rest seems to be going to auction (where he should be able to milk some punter).

Brittania has never been worth it. Think about it the company would have gone into bankrupcy by now because at that special offer price they are giving them away. The catch is to buy 6 dvd`s within 2 years prices of dvd`s go up all the time. High street shops these days charge £24.99 for 2 disc special edition films, which Britania do too. These guys make twice as much back on ya with their high prices.

Have you receievd the box sets yet?

Has i have heard from many people saying that they ordered box sets and they were only sent number of dvd`s ie 4 dvd`s so if a box set had 3 dvd`s in that classed as 3 dvd`s etc.

i got mine but britannia have found out that lots of people are doing this so changed the offer to 4 dvds and dont give box sets any more. It was good while it lasted. And fun milking an expensive company. They take lots from us so its time we took from them
