Will a divx dvd player play films compressed with divx that are just on a normal data disc?

Just to say received my one today and I think it`s great played everything I tried on it
Regions 1,2,3, Dvd`s no problem Divx and Xvid coded movies played great
Vcds and Svcds, mpeg mpg,mp3s, photodisc. Cdr Cdrw Dvd-r Dvd-rw
this one seems to do the lot !
I can`t comment on the dolby surround sound as I don`t have one yet but intend
to treat myself when the credit card cools down been giving a bit of a bashing recently :/
I only have a couple of minor quibbles.
The loading tray seems a wee bit flimsy shall have to be carefull with that
The fast foward only goes up to 16x normal speed my old one did 32x fast forward
and when you play an Avi file it automatically shows the time remaining of the film
and you have to press the display button a couple of times to get rid of it
and when you zoom a picture it displays a logo 2x 4x etc on screen and it doesn`t disappear from screen
But overall well chuffed with it I can burn 6 Divx movies onto a Dvd recordable
And not have to get up from the sofa to change the disc for about 10 hours or about 3 days worth of mp3 music:D
For less than £70 you get a lot of Dvd player
