I just went tearing off to my local ( Croydon ) Lidl store after one of these
Dvd /Divx player only to be told they would be on sale Next Week 12 November
as originally posted,and that If I want one I should probably start queing at 7 am
as they will sell out quickly
I just got it into my head it was this Saturday ( Doh !! ) :o
Well I`ve just done A long night shift on the Bus and really should be sleeping
in my bed now
So that`s where I`m heading.I guess I`ll try again next Saturday :D

This was one of my favourite shows when I was growing up

( Good grief was it really 30+ years ago ! )

Offbeat Western / Eastern Tv series starring David ( Kill Bill ) Carradine

"Kung Fu" tells the story of Kwai Chang Caine, son of a Chinese woman and an American sailor. Caine, orphaned as a boy, was admitted as a student to the Shaolin temple, in China. Caine learned the ways of the Shaolin and became a Shaolin priest. One day he met his old master, Master Po, in a market. Master Po was shot by the Emperor`s nephew, and Caine in turn killed the Emperor`s nephew. Forced to flee China, Caine went to America, where he searches for his half-brother, Danny Caine.

Just ordered a copy of the 1st series ( 90 minute pilot and all 15 episodes)

Total running time 840 mins

Just to say received my one today and I think it`s great played everything I tried on it
Regions 1,2,3, Dvd`s no problem Divx and Xvid coded movies played great
Vcds and Svcds, mpeg mpg,mp3s, photodisc. Cdr Cdrw Dvd-r Dvd-rw
this one seems to do the lot !
I can`t comment on the dolby surround sound as I don`t have one yet but intend
to treat myself when the credit card cools down been giving a bit of a bashing recently :/
I only have a couple of minor quibbles.
The loading tray seems a wee bit flimsy shall have to be carefull with that
The fast foward only goes up to 16x normal speed my old one did 32x fast forward
and when you play an Avi file it automatically shows the time remaining of the film
and you have to press the display button a couple of times to get rid of it
and when you zoom a picture it displays a logo 2x 4x etc on screen and it doesn`t disappear from screen
But overall well chuffed with it I can burn 6 Divx movies onto a Dvd recordable
And not have to get up from the sofa to change the disc for about 10 hours or about 3 days worth of mp3 music:D
For less than £70 you get a lot of Dvd player

for the last year and also Die Another Day
so my Bond collection will then be complete .

They are not released until 3rd November
But dvd.co.uk don`t debit your credit card in advance unlike
