been holding out for this version but have you read the disclaimer on their site.bit worrying when they talk about government censorship on films in korea, deletion of scenes of full frontal nudity and graphic violence.quote`if this bothers you, don`t order from our site`.might affect this film quite badly.

The best version of this film is The Professional - International Uncut Version which is 2hrs 13mins in length (cut version is 1hr 46mins). The general "LEON" you see in the shops is the cut version. The reason they edited it was that the full version shows Mathilda going with Leon on a hit. Other cut scenes are purely emotional / sexual tension between Mathilda and Leon (including her "playing" russian roulette !) and were cut due to their peadophilic implications.
The film makes much more sense in its full uncut entirety.
I got a 2nd hand copy off eBay for £12 and Playusa.com are selling it for £16.99 (inc delivery).
Looking at your link to the Korean site, I suspect that this is the edited version and they don`t say what the second disc contents are ?!

The Korean disc contains both the "Theatrical" and "Directors Cut" versions.
The "Uncut International Version" isn`t actually completely uncut. There are a couple of minutes of footage from Old Tony`s restaurant towards the end which were considered too violent to keep in. The fully uncut version was available on the Japanese "Version Integrale", which I don`t think is available any more. I was lucky enough to get a copy of this on ebay, and even though it`s uncut, it`s as "bare bones" a dvd as you can get, you don`t even get chapter selection!
I`m not sure if the Korean release is the completely uncut version, but going by the running time of 133 minutes it looks like it`s the same as the "Uncut International Version".
Either way, either of the "uncut" versions are vastly superior to the cut, "Theatrical" release.

Hmmm... I dunno. I`m still undecided when it comes to which version is better. I don`t feel that the extra scenes add a drastic amount to the film overall, in fact it nearly makes the paedophilia aspect of the tale a little more blatant.

I`ve always thought that the "paedophilia" accusations were a little misplaced. For me, the sexual tensions between the two serve to highlight the relative maturities and immaturities of each character.
Leon is a supremely slick assassin, but appears confused and juvenile when it comes to emotion and matters of the heart. (Remember the scene when he`s watching the film in the cinema?). He obviously doesn`t quite know how to deal with Matilda who...
While only being 12, is in many ways much more worldly wise, and gives the impression of being much more emotionally (and sexually) mature. She`s the one who describes Leon as her "lover" to the hotel receptionist, and asks Leon to sleep with her - Leon declines.
The cut version is too rushed and has too many holes in it for my liking. In the uncut version you find out why Leon doesn`t sleep in a bed, for example, and the scenes with Matilda`s training give the film much better balance and pace. And you get the Jean-Hughes Anglade cameo in the full version!

But I didn`t really like the Matilda training scenes too much, I felt they got in the way of the pace of the film too much.
I agree about the paedophilia thing though, my only reservations were that if it was hinted at slightly in the theatrical version, then in the full version its a little more obvious. I believe that if there is any kind of love between the characters then its more of a father/daughter connection; the sexual thing just coming from a 12 year old girl who doesn`t know what she`s talking about, and is just probably going off what she`d seen and heard from her family life. I don`t think Bessons intentions were to make you think there was anything sexual in it.
Also, the thing with Leon not sleeping in bed I`d always percieved as it being due to him being an assasin and having to be in a position where he could be more alert. Remind me, what were his reasons again?

You`ve pretty well got it. He basically doesn`t like letting his guard down, but that only gets explained in the uncut version.
