RE: 18 Carry Ons £17.99 delivered

Should check here more often - just missed it and it`s back at £49.99 now !

RE: DVD Recorder with Divx playback under £80

I have one of these. brilliant unit. bit noisy but still very good. USB input will only read jpeg/mp3 (NOT avi/mpeg off portable hard disc). I paid £99 for mine so at this price its a steal.

RE: Spoof Ebay Bargains

Install the eBay toolbar. Okay I am the first to be suspicious of toolbars but I work in enforcement and went to a presentation given by eBay security manager. The toolbar (downloadable off their website) does not slow your system down and has passed several spybot checks without raising a whimper. Doesn`t run anything it should`nt in the background.
When you install the toolbar it flashes up with a big red banner at the top to show you are on an unofficial site.

RE: WOW HOT ITEM --HURRY . Free Fan Heater .....Free Fan Heater..... Free Fan Heater..

Did you not read the posts....1x Heater delivered - no charges to pay ....thats free isn`t it ?

RE: WOW HOT ITEM --HURRY . Free Fan Heater .....Free Fan Heater..... Free Fan Heater..

If you send it back don`t forget you won`t get your postage of £2.45 refunded, just the £9.99.

Anyway update for all of you who have been charged - find your confirmation email stating £0.00 and ring Customer Services 0870 900 1234. They will refund your card the FULL amount and you will still get the free heater. :D

(I am informed that the original code was on a printed voucher which did state that it was for orders over £15 only) There has been a fault on their ordering system - their problem not yours - ring them now.

RE: WOW HOT ITEM --HURRY . Free Fan Heater .....Free Fan Heater..... Free Fan Heater..

In answer to the comment about being stupid enough to enter CC details. I have the relevant working knowledge to be able to tell you that it really doesn`t matter if you only set up a credit account with them. They do credit check you and if you "default" on your "contract" (which is exactly what it is when you place an order) they will spank your credit rating. So if they process the order (even ignoring the code), then you still have a contract. Besides how do you qualify to them where you got the "code" from in order to cancel your order ?

The thing is with these deals, you must always be prepared to accept you may end up having to pay the real cost of the goods or have a good reason to pull out of the order. Thats the whole point of gambling isn`t it - never play with more than you can afford to lose.

So as I say I`m not stupid, I can`t be because I wasn`t one of the people who really believed they would get one of those TV`s for 49p !

RE: WOW HOT ITEM --HURRY . Free Fan Heater .....Free Fan Heater..... Free Fan Heater..

STOP STOP STOP - DO NOT ORDER - THIS DOESN`T WORK.

I placed the order put the code in and it came up £0.00. 3 Days later my card has now been charged £12.44 (inc the postage).

Where did the Code originate ?

The returns policy would allow refind of item but not of postage it would appear, thus if you return then they keep the £2.44.

RE: Sherlock Holmes - The Complete Collection (Seven Discs) £17.99

I have the "complete collection" and did note on at least one of the films that it appears to be "paused" briefly at the beginning, the comment about the source footage probably answers this. I am sort of kicking myself for not getting the "Definitive" but then again they were £40+ at the time I bought the "Complete" for £22. I understand why people think the footage is poor, but the reason I bought the set is because it brings back childhood memories of watching them at 6pm on BBC2 back in the early 80`s. So I wasn`t expecting crisp clear pictures anyway and to be honest they are no worse than those TV broadcasts.
However I would agree that it would be foolish not to get the "Definitive" at £24 inc p&p but those of you who like me have the "Complete" don`t dash off to slash your wrists just yet......

RE: MVC Clearance Sale

Where did you get Millenium 1-3 for £30 ? Every store I`ve checked in my area tell me only the first season in sale for £13.99 the others are regular price £37.99 !

RE: MVC Clearance Sale

Lots of deals at the Burnley store (Lancashire) Managed to pick up one of the two League Of Gentlemen Boxsets at £12.99 (all three series & xmas special !) the other one was snaffled by the manager !

RE: MVC Clearance Sale

Sorry I meant - did you mean all three boxsets for total of £30 ?

RE: MVC Clearance Sale

When you say Millenium 1-3 boxset do you mean all three seasons for £30 ?

RE: Dvd recorder with divx play back at under £100

I had seen the Cyberhome but also spotted the earlier thread from about 7 - 14 days ago re: the YAMADA DVDR 8400x recorder at Maplins for £99 (or £90 if you subscribe to the newsletter and have the £10 off voucher). Plays divx also and has a rear panel that looks like a planes flight deck (okay maybe not but theres lots or connections).

http://www.maplin.co.uk/Media/PDFs/A66CU.pdf

As for the divx argument/discussion, I have downloaded and backed up to DIVX and love the format. The picture is good but the biggest plus by far is I can put 12 episodes of CSI on 1 dvd disc and watch it on my portable (also Yamada PDX770).

Haven`t had any problems with this so far and by the sounds of it the Cyberhome has a few glitches....

RE: Yamada DVR-8400X DVD Recorder /DIVX Player £99.99 or less :)

Thanks for the original post. My MICO Espejo 311R (8months old) died without warning on Friday so this was perfect timing for a refund (£99) from Sainsbugs and pop to MAPLINS to get this little fella (£90 with voucher). I did take note of the comments regarding the noise of the unit and have to agree that it is noisier than most, however we have the TV loud in our house, so we can hear it (granted though it may be slightly annoying on quiet scary creepy films). Besides the DIVX playback the biggest boon for me was finding that UNLIKE the MICO this unit does not recognise Macrovision, which means I have been able to put all my old fave videos onto dvd.
One point to note though about the USB front port, it will only play JPG, WMA & MP3. I plugged a portable hard drive with divx files on it and it wouldn`t play them.
All in all very happy so far .....but I remain cautious as this is exactly what the last fella said !

RE: TGI Fridays 2 For 1 Voucher

Super Smashing Great. Nice spot. Used the voucher previously that was posted here for end of January. Nice to see it`s been extended. I love the Full rack of ribs in JD sauce (about £14- £15) so this voucher will help very nicely on my next visit.

cheers mulvo !

RE: TGI Friday - 2 for 1 (Main Meal)

Nice organisation DUDER, but alas my thanks have to go to DIVERSE who spent all his time emailing the pdf to us all before the link was updated.

Me and the Mrs enjoyed a great meal thanks again DIVERSE

RE: TGI Friday - 2 for 1 (Main Meal)

Any chance of sending it to me too please ?
Cheers - 999namwaleht[at]moc.liamtoh

RE: DVDSoon Infidel Card - HM Customs problem

I have ordered off DVDSOON a few times and never been charged Customs Duty or any other charge for that matter. Thought I was one of a lucky few but I spoke to my mate and he has been ordering off them for ages and he`s never been charged either.

I have had to pay Customs duty for stuff from the USA and Customs are robbing sods because they charge you 17% Import duty - then 17.5% VAT on the total amount as well !

RE: Money off vouchers - Redoute.co.uk

You can`t use them more than once, but you can always place another order for your "brother" and get it sent direct to your mum`s address ;-)

RE: Leon 2 disc SE R3 for £11.60 inc. delivery.

The best version of this film is The Professional - International Uncut Version which is 2hrs 13mins in length (cut version is 1hr 46mins). The general "LEON" you see in the shops is the cut version. The reason they edited it was that the full version shows Mathilda going with Leon on a hit. Other cut scenes are purely emotional / sexual tension between Mathilda and Leon (including her "playing" russian roulette !) and were cut due to their peadophilic implications.
The film makes much more sense in its full uncut entirety.

I got a 2nd hand copy off eBay for £12 and Playusa.com are selling it for £16.99 (inc delivery).

Looking at your link to the Korean site, I suspect that this is the edited version and they don`t say what the second disc contents are ?!
