I know exactly what you mean. I really rate Play, and spend quite a lot with them, but their sale items are exactly the same and at the same price as they have been for the last few weeks.

Yeah, they are very cheap and i have ordered loads from them and have enjoyed the way they conduct their business but dont say sale if its not a sale.

One idea they could take on board is perhaps a loyalty bonus for customers who spend regularly with them.....ie....if you order so many a month or so many a year, then you get a discount off your next order or god forbid.....a free one!
Even a points scheme like the petrol companies do but come on play, dont kid us cos we check out your prices every day(well, some of us weirdos do!!)and we know when something is discounted and although your prices are often the best(and the service too)come on Play.......Play the game!!
Im not moaning though cos ive tried others and if you get your dvds within 2 months.....your doin well so big up to you guys overall.
Richie.

I have used Play.com and have been happy. Purchased a spindle of 100 memorex cds recently and got ten sent to me !! CS reaction I`m afraid was very poor and I had to do a lot of running around to get this sorted ! Come on Play.com you can do better than this !!

I have used Play.com and Play.usa for months now and never had any problems, stuff arrives on time (usually within 3 days of ordering) even some of the Region 1 titles arrive before Region2 .

I know we all have ourt own opinion and this is mine and cannot rate this company highly enough.

Regarding DVD sales etc they seem to have got it right - but the warehousing side in relation to the Gadgets dept needs a good sort out (apparently in regards to the 100 memorex cds offer) they were sending out wrong items completely. The Play CS/returns policy is that you fork out recorded delivery at the Post Office (and they must receive the package) before they send out the item you actually required and credit you the cost of postage , despite the fact that their Warehouse Pick Note says one thing and your order details say another. Not so impressive IMO ! :/

"What a con, must be trades description act violation somewhere here !!!!"

The laws relating to "Sale" and "Was prices" are a joke and easily manipulated by all retailers.

The original RRP of a DVD would have been, say, £19.99. Any price less that that, be it £6.99 or £9.99 can still be said to be a "sale" price, based upon RRP.
