Am I the only one who doesn't understand what the "cargo" Thrawn gave as payment to the 3 witches was or what purpose it served other than to delay his attempt to get away.

RE: [VIDEO] OBI-WAN KENOBI SERIES

I don't know if it's just me, but with a couple of exceptions (Rogue One, Force Awakens), each subsequent addition to the Star Wars franchise just seems to make things worse.

I still check news and sport every morning with my breakfast.

RE: Change account password

Thanks Rob.  That did the trick.

Change account password

I might be being stupid but how do I change my password for this website?  I recently found out that some of my passwords are compromised so I'm changing them all, but I can't work out how to change the password for myreviewer.com

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

RE: Building a Gaming PC?

Have a look at PC Part Picker.

Very useful to see what other people are doing.  Also allows you to determine which components are compatible with each other.

RE: [VIDEO] Aventador + Blonde Passenger + heavy Foot + disengaged Brain =

I think it was the Mazda's fault.  It was pulling out from a side road.  Sure, the Lambo was probably going a bit quick, but that doesn't excuse pulling out in front of it.

RE: Car tyre brands...

Tyres are something I would never economise on.  Just think of the loads they need to handle.  You have four small(ish) contact patches with the road to transmit cornering, braking and accelerating forces.  Personally I'd always stick with well known brands, even if they cost a bit more.  Of the four you mentioned, Avon and Uniroyal are well known brands.  I've never heard of Budgets and Lassa.  As admars said, it depends on what sort of driving you do and what car you drive.  The tyres on my car are £180 EACH.

RE: £2 off cd-wow vouchers.

One interesting thing I noticed was that they had taken payment from my credit card, which has now been refunded following the cancellation. I didn`t think they took payment until an order had been dispatched.

RE: £2 off cd-wow vouchers.

I had my order cancelled yesterday as they said they were unable to get any stock of the DVD I`d ordered. My Mum had her order cancelled today for the same reason.

Quite a disastrous marketing tactic. Offer an incentive to previous customers who haven`t ordered in a while, and then cancel their orders, reminding the customer why they stopped shopping there in the first place!

Too good a price to resist! Had to order this this morning. Don`t know when I`m going to find time to watch all these films though. Less than half way through the Star Trek ten film boxset!

Although Pioneer recorders offer TIMESLIP(simultaneous record and playback) with -RW(VR) ,other recorders with -RW do not always

My Sony RDR-HX510 offers simultaneous playback and record with DVD-RW. It offers both + and - recording and playback, but I`m only using - as that`s what my Pioneer player is compatible with.

RE: Snooper S3 NEO Updates anyone?

As far as I know, there is no way around the subscription charge. Updates are logged to the specific serial number registered to your GPS detector.

Help wanted regarding DVD Recorder/HD recorder

I`m thinking about getting a DVD/HD recorder. Current likely candidate is the Sony RDR-HX510. I already have a multi region player (Pioneer DV575), so that`s not important. I do not currently own any form of DVD recorder. What I need help with from you experts out there is with the following.

1) I want to be able to record from my cable TV. Am I right in assuming that I can just replace my VCR with the DVD/HD recorder?

2) I`d like to be able to transfer my old VHS recordings. Will I just be able to plug my VCR into my new recorder and transfer VHS to hard disk?

3) Does anyone have any experience with the Sony model mentioned above? Is it reliable?

The main use is going to be to record things from cable to the hard disk and then take the player up to my room to watch without disturbing the family. It`ll also be nice to archive certain recordings for future viewing.

All feedback welcome.

Adam

RE: Anyone had their Blueyonder speed increase yet?

Mine`s showing as 1Mbps, so no upgrade here yet.

click start , control panel , network connections , right click on your local area connection ,properties , tick the box "show icon in notification area when connnected" , now put your mouse point over the little icon that has appeared that looks like 2 small monitors + it tells you the speed at what your running at

I didn`t even know they were increasing the speeds again.

Just checked mine and it`s showing as running at 10.0 Mbps! :D

RE: whats the usb socket for on the sky + box

I don`t have a sky box, but I have a digital cable box with a usb port which is for plugging a keyboard in for email and things like that. Don`t know if it`s the same with Sky+ though.

RE: Glasses online?

It shouldn`t make a difference. It depends on what your policy says. I work in an optician`s and we have people claim on their home insurance for all sorts of damage/theft in all sorts of locations. It`s worth a try.

RE: Glasses online?

Have you thought about claiming for replacement glasses on your house insurance?
