Bloody Hell! That was a quick correction! They have taken the Randall and Hopkirk Set off the website, now back to the normal price! Had it on screen at the sale price, had a cup of coffee and when I came back it had changed! Bother!! :o

These guys, cast and then reel you in, only to let you down in the end, why do you all get taken in by these people. The staff have the pick of the "sale" items we only get offered the dross at inflated prices, get to the stores if you want a "bargain" as that is the only way.
Personally, I would rather stick to well known Etailers such as Play, Cd-Wow, Dvd Soon, etc. At least they are consistant. Touch wood I have never had one problem, always good service, good prices and have never had to return an item. The only thing I had go missing (dodgy postie person) was the £29-99 Dirty Harry box set from Woolies, but a replacement was received about a week later with no hassle.

HMV will have say 10 (if that) "sale" items available on the net but would have at least 100 per store. They want to get you to the store! On line shopping is just a toy to these big retailers they do have shed loads of overheads! They want you in the stores so you buy more stuff.

Don` get me wrong, all of my vinyl was purchased in shops in the 70`s and 80`s (mostly Oxford Street) but nowadays, with kids, etc, no time to go! So internet is a god send, except when trying to explain all of the packages and bills to the wife!!

Well if it has, I seem to have missed it already!

I was on the woolies site the day before yesterday, and they had father ted box sets for series 1 and series 3 as buy one get one free so £15.99 for the two. I thought about it overnight and decided I will buy them (and other dvds) when I get home from work.

Last night I checked and the web site had sale splashed everywhere so I thought "hey, I wonder if they have gone down further?" duly checked the website but to my horror, the sets had gone up in their sale to £19.99 each! More than doubled overnight!!!!!

Then I thought hang on, I can still get them from the whsmith 2 for £20 offer which won`t be so bad and checked there but alas they seem to have the same sale that woolies have and their prices have gone back to £19.99 (end of 2 for £20 offer and start of sale).

Bother....bother....bother...

Moral: see a bargain - buy a bargain - bag a bargain! (Don;`t wait for any sale - at least not when it comes to dvds at woolies/smiths)!
