I wouldn`t buy any hardware from dabs now. My liteon combo drive broke down a couple weeks after i bought it Dabs made me pay to return it and they don`t send a replacement but send the broken drive back to liteon.Who in turn take 6 weeks to do this... On the other hand SVP would send you a replacement straight away...

I would also never deal with Dabs again!!! Their after sales service is terrible!!
For the extra £15 I would probably go for this one at Overclockers. It writes 4x DVD±R/±RW plus CD-R/CD-RW.
I have dealt with the company a number of times and found them to be excellent.
Actually it does look like it`s the same model as the SVP one :/

Seems good but if you read the whole info it says near the bottom Quote: We have tried a few different types of media in the drive and recommend using Ritek media for best results Does this mean it fails to recognise / burn some discs ? I would ask them for a bit more info on this before splashing out .

I`ve had problems with dabs too. I bought a network card from them which, 2 weeks later, turned out to be intermittently faulty. They only gave me a refund of half what I paid for it! >:(

It`s not even the same drive! The one Dabs are selling is DVD+R/+RW only.
