RE: HDD Recorder @ Dixons £150

Bought one of these after the last thread a few weeks ago. I think it`s excellent for the money!! Mine came with the latest firmware already on, so I get the 5 day EPG.

I`m also not bothered to much that it will only record the program that you are watching, I could always watch the other program on analogue. So no great shakes!!

There is a long running discussion here :-

http://www.radioandtelly.co.uk/cgi-bin/forum/YaBB.pl?board=freeviewbox;action=display;num=1077194110;start=0"

Sorry my browser won`t let me put into a nice tidy url.

I would pretty much ignore the first 30 pages (unless you need to know about changing the hard drive) as it referres mainly to old firmware problems!

If you look for the previous post on this one, you will find the link for some savings.

Hope that helps

Cheers

Thomson DTH4000U DVD/Hard Drive Recorder. £239.99!!!!

Good morning!!!

Just browsing around the internet (when I should really be doing some work) and found this DVD player with hard drive recorder for £239.99. Now I haven`t done much research into this one so not sure how much of a "Bargain" this one is. Let me know what you think?

Link here
Cheers!! :)

Nope, they`re all gone, oh well.

RE: Yamada/Umax Multi-Region DVD Player - £29.99 delivered !!!

Excellent spot!!!! All the reveiws on Amazon say 5 stars, so ordered one for my sisters Birthday. Can`t go wrong for just shy of 30 notes!!

:D

RE: Freecom External DVD+/-RW Drive for £169

As far as I`m aware Usb 2 is backward compatible. So it will work fine but just a have a slower transfer rate than USB 2.0 would have.

Hope that helps. :)

RE: Freecom External DVD+/-RW Drive for £169

I`m no expert on these things, but when I needed a dvd-writer for my Shuttle PC I bought a 5 1/4 encloser from PC Next Day For example.

Then you can buy any writer that you like, stick it in the encloser and probably save around £40 on the freecom one. Then when you want to upgrade, you buy just the writer again.

Like I said, I`m no expert, but mine works perfectly and looks good too!!

RE: liteon dual format dvd writer £89.99

I would also never deal with Dabs again!!! Their after sales service is terrible!!

For the extra £15 I would probably go for this one at Overclockers. It writes 4x DVD±R/±RW plus CD-R/CD-RW.

I have dealt with the company a number of times and found them to be excellent.

Actually it does look like it`s the same model as the SVP one :/

RE: Only one left, get it while you can!!

Aaaw shame, he has obviously broken her :( As she is no longer up for sale.

Still he acheived the objective all the same ;)

It kinda backfired on him `cause he was receiving some strange emails regarding said goods, and whether or not she would be suitable for a 40 year old.

Wasn`t any of you lot was it??

Fair doo`s though he actually emailed her parents to tell them he was selling her and would split the profits 50/50.

What a star!!

RE: 3 to go video mobile - £50

I saw it for free too!! The cheeky Gits!! I was a little gutted as I only got mine last Friday for 50 notes.

Feeling alot better now though ;) works out the same price as mine, `cause it doesn`t have the 3 months £10 credit.

Not a bad little toy for £20!!

RE: Only one left, get it while you can!!

I`m afraid you will just have to take my word for the fact that she`s worth at least £20 ;)

So at the mo` she`s still a bargain at £10.50 !!

Only one left, get it while you can!!

My mate has decided not to take any more grief from his missus. So has put her up for sale on ebay ;)

Check out the details here

Not a bad price last time I looked at £2.20.

Cheers!!

RE: 3 to go video mobile - £50

I received mine on Friday, and for the price I`m well pleased.

Had another quick look through the thread and it seems that if people ordered 2 or more they were declined, maybe because you can`t have 2 on the same DD, I don`t know??

Dusty went for just one at link and was accepted.

I`m dying to try the video calling thing!!

Thanks!!

RE: 3 to go video mobile - £50

Dusty, Does your mate also live in the Rhyl area? `cause that`s where I am, and according to the "three" web site there is coverage?

Although it looks like the transmitter is on the sky tower or very close.

RE: 3 to go video mobile - £50

Nice spot!! Just ordered 2, but I doubt they will replace my usual mobile it`s a bit big and bulky for that.

Although I think they are out of stock, my order status is "Awaiting delivery into warehouse". So may be waiting a while.

Has anyone received their order yet?

RE: E-pilot touch screen remote for £39:99, £30:00 off

Thanks Mrs Dave!! Just picked mine up, and particularly like the macro function. Programming it will probably take a while, but once its done its done.

Cheers!!
