These are good but the region 1 boxsets are much superior sound and picture wise, the packaging is a lot better(neat and compact digipack), The episodes are on 4 single sided picture discs, there are some decent extras and commentaries on some episodes, they are way cheaper (about £22). DVDsoon is supposedly the best place to go for these. Note at the current time only seasons 1-4 have been released but the boxsets look lovely.

I would have to urge anyone who hasn`t had the opportunity to compare the different region offerings not to even consider the R2. As said, R2 are flippers, orrible snappers, no extras and indeed on my tv, noticibly inferior picture and sound. I have the Series 6 R2 courtesy of I think Littlewoods a while back - absolute pants by comparison.

£18 odd for the first two, £21ish the others - also worth giving Amazon.ca alook in conjunction with the promo codes they have flying around.

What about R4 ? Seem to remember the Aussie sites selling digipak versions of the Friends box sets a while back.... anyone know if they`re the same as the R1?
