LOL, maybe you should change the topic of this thread to Splash Easter Sale 2006, and Splash should change their shipping policy on their site to "When we can be bothered..." useful for the odd promotion, as long as you don`t mind waiting several years for shipment in the meantime you can have several discs direct to your door, via Play,CD-Wow and other companies.. come on Splash sort it out... or is your site mearly some hobby you run on the side at weekends?

Not wishing to fight with anyone about this, but I ordered two discs yesterday at 08:30 one in stock, the other 5-7 days delivery.
I received an email at 09:37 confirming dispatch of the in stock disc, which is very impressive.
Mind you if the second one is a no show I`ll be the one with egg on my face, but I`ll keep this up to date.

Looks like the same old stuff you can get anywhere else (Play, etc) for the same price to me.

Batavia,
Most of the movie offers are exactly that, but Paul McCartney - Back in the US @ £ 8.95 and Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers - Playback @ £ 8.99 are pretty damn fine prices and depending on your taste, loads of other music DVD are listed around the same cost.

Don`t buy from these clowns ESPECIALLY during a sale.

I ordered 2 Disneys on 24/03/03. Chased by email twice, then was told that having been 822 on the waiting list for Lilo & Stitch last week, I was now only number 583. I emailed them back and politely stated that unless they could state the DVD`s would be on my doormat in 3-5 days, they could cancel my order. Surprise surprise, Lilo & Stitch was dispatched the next day. Still waiting for Pinnochio - they can have one more day, but boy will I go to town after that!

It worries me a lot that kywy`s order (or half of it) was dispatched almost immediately, whereas so many other people wait for weeks. It is also a bit strange that this mysterious Lilo & Stitch waiting list suddenly evaporated.

Quite frankly, they are making it up as they go along... but one positive note - they are very quick to respond to emails. I wonder if they are spending all day answering complaints instead of sending DVDs out....

I think I am just gonna stop recommending these people now as so many people seem to be having trouble with them and I cant help thinking maybe its my fault for recommending them. The reason I did recommend them is because I myself never seem to have any major problems at all with these lot (maybe they like me or something, I dunno).
Anyway seeing so much chaos and feeling guilty about it, I wont recommend them anymore but I will continue to purchase from them.

I`ve ordered half a dozen items from Splash over the last couple of months and I have no complaints - most were delivered within a week and the exceptions arrived the following week.

I ordered a few more things from them about a week ago and there`s no sign yet but my confirmation email did make a point of explaining that the staff are stretched at the moment, which I think is understandable, given the ridiculously cheap prices the site offers on clearance items from time to time.

Since these bargains are usually the ones I go for, I`m happy to wait a fortnight for them rather than the three to five days that Play and CD Wow generally take.

I`m not gloating, rather, giving credit where it`s due. Splash customers seem to have very hit and miss experiences but it seems that I`ve been one of the lucky ones so I think it`s just as important to commend a company which has treated you well as it is to berate one which has f**ked you about.

To all the disgruntled Splash punters out there - best of luck and I hope you are all gruntled again soon. :-)

I had to wait about 2 weeks for all the Disney stuff I ordered, however at the prices they were offering I was prepared to wait, they must have been swamped with orders which was understandable.

If you aren`t prepared to wait when you KNOW demand will be high, then just head down town and pay 16.99 - 24.99 for your dvd`s !!!!!!

No problems with Splash as far as I`m concerned.....

Spot on mikeyb, I think we have all said before that yes their deliveries seem to take a little longer than Play & CD Wow, but at the prices that you pay it is justified.

I`d order from Splash again, but only if I am not buying a CD or DVD for somebody`s birthday!
