Excuse my ignorance , but what is the reason (or point) of two tuners on a TV like this ?

I have one of these and it doesn`t have a dual tuner on it....being a bit flexible with the description perhaps?!

Are these TVs any good then, for example, not as our main viewing TV, but in the kitchen for example, for the kids to watch TV ?

Ours is used as a bedroom TV and is fine. The one scart socket is fully wired so RGB signals are no problem, and I`ve used my dreamcast through it running at 60hz, which according to the description it doesn`t do!

I thought "Twin Tuner" allowed you to watch a different Channel to the one you was taping

Don`t think so mate - the Tuner inside your VCR lets you do that i.e. tape from the VCR tuner whilst watching another channel using the TV tuner.

PIP is the only function for a second tuner - isn`t it?
(Unless you have an integral VCR...?)
