Yeah but as I understand it, this player only has a 32MB memory, so you will have to buy extra smart media if you want to listen to more than about half an hour of music at a half-decent quality. Like I said, correct me if I`ve misunderstood the spec.
Oh, and I notice that Novatech are also offering the following `gem`:

Groovy - but one more annoying question to reveal my ignorance of this stuff:
When the spec says `maximum file allowance - 128MB`, does this mean that if I was to install another 128MB card, I`d have a total of 160MB or still only 128MB? If the latter is true, can you get 96MB cards so you`re not wasting 32MB? I have a feeling that you can`t but as I said, I`m not familiar with these things.
Thanks

It should be okay with XP as this is just a partially bug fixed 2000 and an update Media Player and Internet Explorer.
In the case of memory, I thought the 32MB was a seperate card until I re-read the specification, so in theory it`s maximum is 160MB, but the last line of the detail says "Maximum file allowance - 128MB" now this may just be largest sized file (The complete works of shakespear?) or you`ll only be able to use either the internal 32MB OR external 128MB.
I do wish they`d put up clearer information on their web site. I have bought from them before and had no problems (but then when you have the problems is when you want good service).
Cheers
John

I saw this yesterday too. I had the same question about the memory as well. Another couple of sites that sell the same player (can`t remember which) word the memory exandability differently. They both implied that it could be expanded with up to a 128mb card. That would make the memory 160Mb.
Which website is telling the truth is another matter.

I`d love to order one of these, but it seems the novatech website is doing everything in its power to stop me from doing so, its the worst designed site I`ve ever used to buy something from.
