Nothing ... absolutly nothing . For the price of this computer its a great computer .
We are thinking of buying one just too keep incase anything goes wrong with the one we have now .
And this has a DVD drive too and at that price you cant go wrong!. 1.7ghz is reletivly fast as far as computers go and there isnt that much difference between a celeron and a intel pentium processors.

If anyone has children wanting a PC for Christmas this is great for them too .

Thanks for finding the offer.

All available from your nearest local computer fair give or take a few £`s
AMD Athlon XP1800 - £62
256Mb PC2700 DDR Ram - £55
60Gb 7,200rpm Hard Drive - £55
19" Aoc Monitor £120
128Mb ATI 9000 AGP Graphics Card - £80
MSi KT3 Motherboard - £65
OnBoard 5.1 Audio
Aries 5.1 Speaker System - £45
3.5" Floppy Drive - £8
16x DVD ROM Drive -£30
40x12x48x CDRW Drive - £35
ATX Midi Tower Case - £30
Internet Keyboard + Mouse £15
Internal K56 V.92 Modem £10
Windows XP Home (Pre-Install) - £80

Total £690 all from computer fair, and I guess you could even get it for less with some haggling if you buy all from same supplier. Of course you will have to build it yourself, but save yourself well over £100

Most prebuilt systems are much cheaper to build yourself plus sometimes they use inferior hardware

Notice they didn`t mention what brand Memory, Hard Drive, DVD, CD Writer etc so its just a lucky bag unless you query them 1st. If they don`t mention a brand its normally cos is inferior hardware, but they will always mention a good brand name

for £800 at the computer fair you could probably get a free upgrade again XP2100, MSI KT4 motherboard, 80Gb HD, Geforce 4200Ti 128Mb, and still have a few notes left for Blank CD`s etc

Sorry my mistake!

I know this is more of a first PC buy and you would proberbly get a better system if you made it yourself, but if you just want a PC for Under £500 then its not a bad buy. I have looked with Ebuyer and you would be hard pressed to make a system for this price.

I dont like way people are persuaded to buy the newest and fasted computer ( now over 3 GHz!) when most people only want to type a letter and use the internet! and play the odd game, its just not needed!

I have a Duron 800 and its works fine for most things. I would get a faster DVD to VCD conversion time with a faster processor but most other people would not need it. My Dads using my old AMD 200 which also does what he wants.

My post was more directed at the one for £799

cos £800 can buy a lot of computer, it pays to ask around. Most people now know someone who knows someone who builds computers

the one for £400 aint that bad but it would pay to email or telephone them as to exactly what components they are using etc

It`s just to help people in the future when they try to upgrade and then realise they need more than just the original bit of hardware to upgrade
