We bought one of these a few months ago and ended up taking it back. It was too much of a mess about to try to get working. It would only relay the remote signal in about 1 of 10 presses and became a right pain, and unreliable cos you didn`t know if it was sending the right button presses or not. Then it would only send certain keys so ended up punching a different channel number ot the one you intending.

Good idea, but doesn`t work, not in our house anyway, which is an older one with all brick internal walls. The one good thing, is Maplin are good with refunds, and we got our money back no problem.

Mark.

I think Toys R Us do a better one. From what I`ve read theirs is £49.99 but actually works. Badged as `Medion` these are on the website. If you search for VIDEO SENDER in these threads you will find a conversation from a few months back. It`s on my Christmas list ;-)

The very Carling Lager of supermarkets
Its worth noting though that, like most, this won`t work with NTL

The pictures great though!

Anyone know of a reasonably priced one that will work with NTL?

Lidl is similar to Aldi, they are the unbranded, cheap, quality food type of store. You only seem to see them in certain regions, we don`t have one round here, but I`ve seen them down south when I`ve been on holiday there.

I saw the ToysRus video sender the other week when we were there. I agree it does look a better model than the the Maplin version.

Our local Lidl has them for £23.99!

I would`ve had one, but my dad went for it and mistook `100m` for `100mm` because he`s a d******* :) I mean... why the hell would you want a sender with a range of about 8 inches? "Sorry pet, I thought that`s why it was so cheap" heheh
