RE: London Advice

I agree with most of the info given
However, make sure that you don`t avoid all the tourist places. Covent Garden market is always nice - but make sure that they walk up to the area called "neals yard" its sort of north of the actual covent garden market (which is rubbish)
After that saunter into China Town (gerrard street) for a chinese, can especially recommend Won Kei`s (people are going to really tear me apart for that one) you might have to share tables, but its a real buzzing place with excellent food.

RE: Brilliant Sale At Whsmith

being the season of goodwill (sort of) - does anyone know a London WHSmiths that has the bond dvds on offer - with the buy one get one free and the half price? Seems to good to miss, but I think I`ve missed it. I went into the one in Victoria Station and the dvd sale was rubbish. The books were ok though

warning - potential bargain that isn`t

Hi all, did the "free" 14 day trial with dvdsontap.co.uk - and they charged me!! Just trying to find out why, but its pariticularly anoying as they didn`t manage to deliever the actual dvd I wanted!!
Thought I`d let you all know.

RE: Good bargains @ cd-wow.com

Hi Everyone - i really have no intention of defrauding Natwest / Fastpay, as this is a site out there in the public domain with a legitimate offer. However, I`ve joined the Car phone W/H deal - but can`t see how i get my tenner? Is it a tenner off cd-wow? Do I wait for a code?
Maybe I`m thick, but I can`t work this one out!!

RE: 3 Books 3 quid - too good to be true?

Thanks for the info guys. I`ve joined now - and the Simon Schema (I think that`s how you spell it!!) books are a quid. Not bad at all. Nothing for the missus for Christmas though.

RE: 3 Books 3 quid - too good to be true?

wow thanks for this. The only problem as I can see it is that they do that anoying thing of sending you a book unless you specifically say "don`t". I`m a bit forgetful, so I`m worried about being swamped by books

RE: Lager Drinkers £8.99 for Crate of Carlsberg

sure you know, but sainsbury`s have crates of Heineken for £9.99
think grolsch might be BOGOF as well - but these are bottles only

3 Books 3 quid - too good to be true?

Not a DVD maybe, but if its true, its a damn good offer

RE: Zulu £3.99 on CD-WOW

Hello Chaps - can you give me some more info as well, what`s the pronlem with the R1? Is it the transfer or more the lack of extras? is it not worth £4? Oh, and the 50p off link doesn`t change the price of this as well. Boo!

RE: Free 14 days rental at DVDs on Tap

Yeah - I`m trying the ontap service, and I`m not going to continue. I`ve had two DVDs from them - and both were waaaayy down my list of requests

RE: Video sender - any work with NTL

I phoned Maplin and they said it wouldn`t work with NTL - though it sounded like a guess to me!
I can`t be the only one out here with cable tv instead of sky!!!

Video sender - any work with NTL

Hi, anyone know where I can get a cheapish video sender that will work with NTL. The Lidl ones are pretty good, but don`t work with NTL, as they won`t relay the remote control, and the only one`s that actually say they do cost about £120!! Anyone know a cheaper one that will?

RE: Maplin.co.uk - Video Sender £49-99 - Cheap?

The very Carling Lager of supermarkets
Its worth noting though that, like most, this won`t work with NTL

The pictures great though!

Anyone know of a reasonably priced one that will work with NTL?
