Can I connect my VHS to a PC Monitor or watch it through my PC?

Vista Icon Confusion

Within the last couple of days the icons on my desktop and shortcut bar have suddenly changed to the wrong picture.

For example internet explorer no loger shows the blue `e` but the nero logo.

When I have right clicked on the icon and gone into the properties it shows the correct picture.

I know its only a minor problem and all programmes work fine, it just gets a bit annoying.

I would be most grateful for any feedback/solutions.

I cant tell you how much I`ve missed Sky+ since I moved out!!

Sky+ Box Query

My father is about to upgrade to Sky HD which would leave a spare sky+ box lying around.

If I phone Sky to tell them that I have purchased a box elsewhere and wish to subscribe to Sky+ will my fathers old box work with my current viewing card? Or do I have to purchase a Sky+ card?

I hope I have explained the above clearly enough.

Help - W800i Disc to phone

I`m attempting to transfer music to my phone using the above software.

It is showing on the screen that all tracks have been transfered but when i unplug my phone and go to the track listing (on the phone) not all songs have been transferred.

Can anyone help me!!!!

Its time to upgrade my mobile again and I quite fancy the Nokia 8800.

Mobile Uprgrade

My current contract is about to end and i`m looking to upgrade my phone.

I currently have a Nokia 7250i and was looking at possibly upgrading to a Sony K700i. Does anyone know if the Sony K700i is a good phone?

Does anybody have any reccomendations for me?

Mini DV Tape to VHS

A mate of mine told me that there is a vhs case in which you can place your mini camcorder tape into that enables you to watch what you have recorderd though your vhs player without having to record onto vhs.

I have searched most of the sites I know which would stock such an item but have come up with nothing.

Is my mate taking the p*** or is there such a device. If so does anyone know where I may find one.

Does anyone here know if this film is ever going to be released on dvd. Its an absolute classic bit of teen comedy up there with the goonies.

It wasn`t a bad result in the end as we broke the record. It shows how far we have come over the last 18 months as we would never have come back twice after playing poorly.

Its a pity England decided not to play us as they were approached by Mark Hughes amd the WFA but turned the game down.

Also what a result in the afternoon with Azerbaijan drawing with Yugoslavia.

One things for sure we`ll give England a game.

Wales are now the most in form team in the world, along with the best supported. If we dont move up the FIFA rankings by about 10 places then somethings wrong.

I dont know if you can remember the film `A Kiss Before Dying` with Sean Young and Matt Dillon, but the end scene of the train leaving the Steelworks was filmed at Port Talbot, where I live.

Its the world famous town where Richard Burton and Anthony Hopkins were born. Rumour has it that Hopkins is going to be buried at Margam Abbey about 1/2 a mile away when he pops his clogs.

Twin Town was also filmed in Swansea which is about nine miles away with a few scenes being filmed in Port Talbot.

Blade Runner - Documentary

Can anyone tell me where I can get my hands on the Channel 4 documentary on Blade Runner, if I can.

Also does anyone have any news on the Blade Runner special edition dvd thats comming out.

I watched it on channel 4 a couple of months ago along with Ring 2.
I got to admit i quite enjoyed them. I have`nt seen Ring 0 yet.

Rumour has it that they are being remade by Hollywood.
