Page 1 of Vista Icon Confusion

Within the last couple of days the icons on my desktop and shortcut bar have suddenly changed to the wrong picture.

For example internet explorer no loger shows the blue `e` but the nero logo.

When I have right clicked on the icon and gone into the properties it shows the correct picture.

I know its only a minor problem and all programmes work fine, it just gets a bit annoying.

I would be most grateful for any feedback/solutions.

strange an update did sum strange things to my ie explorer
it wood print really tiny and icon kept changing (im on vista premium)

i just downloaded firefox (its free) and fully customisable faster browser
and uses a much smaller cach as well your bookmarks can be imported from ie
and you can change everything on it!!

sorted all my probs i just dissabled ie so it doesn`t load but kept backup just in case
i need it (havent need so far)

nb/ you will need to manually install wplayer plugin and shockwave for it to display
certain pages and videos but it works a treat!!
