Page 1 of Camcorder Battery
General Forum
I need a spare battery for my camcorder but I do not want to pay the price of a Panasonic original battery and have been looking on Ebay and there are 1700 ma batteries going on there for less than £20 , I would expect that to perform a lot better than the 850 ma battery supplied with the camera but is it a case of they are made using cheap cells that will be dead after a few recharge cycles , anyone used one of these or a similar non original battery and if so how would you rate it ?

have you tried cpc.co.uk
I came accross a cracking site for Digital Cameras and Camcorders the other day. Try www.7dayshop.com
There are some cracking prices on there for a vast amount of accessories.
All the best.

Yep 7dayshop.com, although delivery can be slow. Also check out Maplins, I was in there the other day and noticed they had a big range of camcorder batteries up to about 2000mah I think. They even had the Uniross universal one to fit my 10yr old Sony which I didn`t think you`d be able to get one for now. I got one years ago as a second battery and have never had any problems with it, still going strong now.
Mark. :)
Looks like I will pay another £10 on top of the normal ebay price and get a Hahnel with 2 year warranty from Fotosense
