RE: Need help with WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER!
media player doesnt add any gaps, it rips the tracks as they are
the 2 second gaps are caused in ur burning software
u need to burn in disc at once mode, if that doesnt work use nero like said b4
RE: Budget Home Cinema - is it worth investing in scart leads?
depending on the quality of the dvd, u may or may not notice any difference
although a good quality scart will last u almost forever, so u will have it when u decide to upgrade ur home cinema (which u deffinaltye will)
RE: Why do expensive TVs only have 2 scart sockets?
videos and sky boxes have pass through scarts
RE: Please help us find the right DVD player
i love my pioneer 454
gr8 pic gr8 sound gr8 mp3 player playes everything, and even sounds gr8 with audio cd`s
RE: Which DvD player ? Opinions needed
the 454 is amazing picture and sound, and even audio discs sound great
and for the price its even better
RE: Do DVD recorders copy the 5.1 soundtrack?
if you have a pc thats suitably located you could purchase a dvd recorder for the pc and also get a TV capture card
then u would be able to make exact digital dvd copise(5.1 an all) and also record from the tv onto dvd with stereo sound much the same as a seperate dvd recorder.
all this for less than a dvd recorder with all the added benefits
RE: Any info on Harman Kardon DVD25
ooooooooo
very interesting
any ideas on what sort of price range its likely to be
maybe i could put up with the alba108 for a few more months
RE: alba dvd 108 / dvd114 whats the difference ?
well i bought the 108 as i needed a player that could play dvd-r and my old one didnt
i only bought it as a stop gap, but in 2 months im going crazy at the fact there is no standby button (yes im very lazy)
go for the 114 unless ur not lazy like me
RE: DVD player comparable to tosh 220 that plays DVD-RW
am doing so my brother works for richers, but they dont have a comprehensive selection so he tells me
narrowed it down to the HK25 or the Pioneer545

RE: Any info on Harman Kardon DVD25
thnx guys,
not to worried about the prog scan at the mo cause not sure im gonna able to afford a projecter for a while yet, but its nice to have the option
i basically wanted a good quality all round dvd player that would also deal with audio well, and plays dvd-r/rw
the HK seems to fit all these very well, not to sure if dvd audio is a neccesity at the moment as the only title i would wish to play is "Metallica - Metallica"

RE: Any info on Harman Kardon DVD25

RE: DVD player comparable to tosh 220 that plays DVD-RW

DVD player comparable to tosh 220 that plays DVD-RW
any ideas for a comparable quality player, i love the tosh but really need dvd-rw cause i use pc as a video recorder
thnx
RE: DVD RECORDABLE..
the pioneer 104 and 105 are very good value for money
http://www.blankdiscshop.co.uk/acatalog/FOR_DVD_R_RW_CLICK_HERE.html
and
http://www.bigpockets.co.uk
are the best places ive found for for disc`s
the top 1 has cheaper postage lol so i usually go with them, when theyve got stock
any traxdata/datasafe/datawrite media is great all made in same factory i think and very good quailty
RE: Any info re DVD-R Creation on Panasonic E30
get some decent traxdata disc`s, sound like the discs may be the problem as others have played dvd-r`s with no probs
also how are u burning the dvd-rs what program?
RE: Which DVD-R/RW?
my pioneer 104 rocks
and the 105 is twice the speed for around 200 squids u cant go wrong
Player that will last
looking for a player for a freind
Only problem he is the type of person that buys a product and sticks with it untill it basically stops working.
i was going to suggest the alba, or the tosh from richer sounds
any comments the build qauility of these
and any other players that have great build quality
ive always been impressed by sony/pioneer build quality
RE: 5.1, 6.1 , DTS, what next ??
SDDS is only needed because of the big screens isnt it
i thought sdds was basically spliting the centre channel into 3 further channels?
RE: WIDESCREEN TV - Sony OR LG????
32" sets dont usually look a great deal bigger than a 28"
LG make nice looking kit but so do sony
One thing i hate about sony TV`s is that they have no good screen format for viewing 4:3 pictures, the superzoom looses to much, LG`s zoom seems to look much better
RE: 5.1, 6.1 , DTS, what next ??
whats next?
think about it the audio can encompass u and circle around the room
so logically the folks at dolby must be working on ceiling and floor positioned speakers ;-)
seriously!
RE: ALBA DVD108 VCD HACK PLEASE ANYBODY
i dont know of a permanent hack
to play vcd`s u have to press the goto button and hold it just as the tray enters the actual player, then press the menu button to turn on pbc(this depends on how the vdc was burned)
takes a few trys to get used to it, but it works
RE: DVD Recorder Help Needed!
after a lot fo searching i settled on the pioneer range, i have the 104 and am extremley pleased.
This site has the newer 105 for a very good price
http://www.cambridge-computers.com/
Does everything u could ever want from a burner
As for disc`s, its a lot down to personal preference, but this site is very cheap
http://www.blankdiscshop.co.uk/acatalog/SVP_Communications_Recordable_DVD_Discs_16.html
and they have the:
Pack of 25 DATASAFE WHITE (Same Ritek dye as Traxdata) 4.7GB DVD-R disc
which get very good reviews at:
http://www.vcdhelp.com/dvdmedia.php?selectmedia=40
Sorry if thats a bit more indepth than u wanted, but theres some good sites there,
have fun
