RE: Windows 98 SE
Thanks to all who replied,
I am running my old computer through a kvm switch with my XP side by side and was just going to try and use it to burn itunes etc.
Managed to change the drive allocation letter in Device manager but soon as USB hard drive was plugged in also it would not recognise both the dvd burner and hard drive at same tome.
Thinking I may invest in a new wi-fi laptop with dvd burner and forget the old stuff......
It just seems a shame as it cost a fortune a few years ago!!!
Windows 98 SE
Was trying to connect a usb dvd burner and my external usb hard drive to my old pc but only one or the other is recognised? When I look in my computer, but if I connect my mp3 player as well (usb hub) that is recognised as another removable drive.
Why does the dvd and the hard drive want to share the same drive letter and conflict?
Any help appreciated.

RE: Need some info about the heads in a vcr
A good trick that helps sometimes is to fully fast forward the tape in the new machine and then let it rewind on the new machine before playing.
I think some machines put differnt ``tension`` on the tape which can sometimes cause problems. It used to work on rental tapes that had been in different players.
Sky + Problem?
Has anyone had problems with their sky+ ``jumping`` and ``freezing`` on playback of recorded programmes and sometimes sound goes off for a second or two??
Any advice ideas?
Cheers.

Amstrad Sky Box RF Tuning
I have an Amstrad DRX300 Skybox and want to change the RF output from 69 to another channel. I can get to the menu for RF outputs but when I change the channel output to say 23 and press `select` the TV goes blue screen and a 5 minute countdown begins and then TV turns off. When I turn it back on it has defaulted to RF output 69.
How do I save the new setting??
Help appreciated thanks for any replies.
Help! Sky into Plasma
I have a 42" Panasonic Viera to replace a 20" televideo in the bedroom. My problem is the sky is fed as an extra link up to the bedroom with a "magic eye" and works fine on the 20" portable but the Panasonic will not tune auto or manual so that I can view the sky channel on the Plasma??
Any suggestions appreciated.

RE: Very cheap TV`s going fast
Thanks for original posting..................
I ordered an ``out of stock`` 32 inch Toshiba before going on hols for two weeks mid May and came back to 7 messages from Excell saying they want to arrange delivery!!!!
After lots of messing with phone calls and arranging dates it was set for today 7-6-04.
After reading all postings on this thread I didn`t hold out much hope but then at 08-50 this morning a DHL van pulled up with my Tosh and DVD player.........................
There is still hope...........................good luck everyone!!!!

Asda are selling these at present and its a really good little unit for that price. RE: Beko 17 inch LCD TV for £329.99 (limited stock) from Argos
In pc mode tv speakers are muted. You cannot use tv for pc audio. You have to use pc speakers as well as tv.
RE: 17" LCD TV £299
All you people with questions on sound when using pc mode read my thread from 14 November last year.
